Just devoured the back 2/3rds of Search and Destroy, a grimy, gory cyberpunk trilogy by Atsushi Kaneko, based on Tezuka’s Dororo. Not only is the action great, the art & world gorgeous in its scathing savagery, but it is the angriest book I’ve read in a long time It wears it on its snarling sleeve

"What is this game about?
The Pale Queen's Feast is a 'type two' game that focuses on:
- Instilling feelings of discomfort, disquiet, and anxiety in players.
- Dinner warfare and tense social dynamics.
- Powerlessness in the face for a much more powerful entity.
- Characters being stripped of all sense of safety and self.
- Facing predicaments with no clear 'good' solution.
- Deeply flawed, morally grey characters faced with morally complex situations.

This game is not about:
- fighting back or physical violence
- Solving puzzles or finding definitive, satisfying solutions to problems
- "Morally binary" characters or "good vs evil" narratives
- happy endings
- Successfully achieving your character's goals

The years are going to continue hitting like trucks. At least for the short term future. Focus on survivability. Build up people around you. Expand communities and networks. Do things that bring you joy and feed your soul.
