I finally got around to creating the Bluesky translator I always wanted. A Chrome extension reads every post in the viewport (and a little further down), tests for English first and skips those, then translates all other discovered languages into English. It's fast too! I'll release it next week.

Canyon has lost their minds. €4000 for Shimano 105? Yeah, fine Di2 but still it's 15 years on now. It's a good time to remind people that bike brands don't make bikes, they assemble bikes. If top brands sold frame/fork combos for reasonable prices, they would hardly need to sell a complete bike.

I like the Majority Report's IM the show feature, so I built one into my app tonight because I can't sleep since I had a Covid shot. Search, click to highlight, real-time updates, and delete message. iOS is ready to go; Android is a hassle, so like 3 weeks.

We sickos know the rest of #TDF2025 is brutal, but casual viewers have no idea the level of pain that is heading the peloton's way. La Plagne, Tormelet, Courchevel, Ventoux, Superbagnères, and all the other cols in between. Then three loops up Montmartre for a final kick in the ass in Paris. Wow.
