Samantha Wareing hat das Fanevent vor zehn Jahren nach Berlin gebracht. „Es ist der Höhepunkt meines Jahres", sagt sie dem Checkpoint.

„Das,Wuthern' ist fröhlich und wunderbar, zugänglich und macht Spaß und es ist sehr berlinisch."
Und anfängerfreundlich ist es auch. Die Choreographie wird jedes Jahr neu eingeübt. Die schwierigste Bewegung sei der „Impossible Backbend", sagt Wareing, eine Rückwärtsbeugung, die Kate Bush im Video macht. „Ich habe es noch nie geschafft, dabei den Boden zu berühren. Aber man kann stattdessen auch einfach dramatisch mit den Armen her einfacher machen.

Seeing Brecht and Weill's 1928 socialist masterwork Threepenny Opera in the theatre it debuted in.

Theatre am Schiffbauerdamm, an elaborately decorated 1892 theatre with many statues, gilding everywhere and small, elaborate balconies with red walls around a proscenium stage. Brecht and Weill debuted their socialist masterwerk, Dreigroschenoper, Threepenny Opera here in 1928, and I'm seeing it 98 years later.

On the record hottest day of the year so far, I see "KLIMA = STEUER RAUB ("CLIMATE" = TAX THEFT) on a bicycle on the side of the road. What does it mean? "Climate" issues are a scam? Not acting costs taxpayer money?

I don't think you can be spicy or erotic in Comic Sans, man.

The Dark Side of the Rainbow - the trippy mash up where Punk Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon serves as an alternate soundtrack to The Wizard Of Oz! 80 points of confluence, I haven't run this since the 2000s and I can't wait to see it again. St. Patrick's Day is the anniversary of my father's birth and death. He held on for a week longer than anyone thought with the cancer to die on his birthday. He wanted the symmetry I guess. The anniversary of my Mum's death is also this month. Also cancer. #FuckCancer

Wonders I have seen today: a lighthouse in Sassnitz wrapped in ice; a pilot craft using its wake to break up a huge, glassy sheet of harbour ice; walking between frozen waves in a frozen sea; fog rolling down wooded hills over the white wooden seafront hotels in Binz.

Today's wonder - the chalk cliffs and frozen coast of Jasmund National Park, Rügen.

The extremely scenic and wintry chalk cliff and beech tree forest landscape of the Jasmund National Park, Sassnitz on the Island of Rügen. Icy clear green and blue sea water is fringed by sea ice along the rocky shore. Above towering white chalk cliffs, austere and bare winter beech trees grow down to the frozen sea.

A Tokyo Shibuya restaurant promotion ad that satirises the Wong Kar-wai film In The Mood For Love, where a well-dressed middle aged Asian man in a nice grey suit with slicked back hair sensually fondles and presses his cheek to the carapace of a large red crab. The insinuation is In The Mood For Crab, and the poster is in faded retro neon-lit hues of red, yellow and purple with yellow English and Chinese-looking typefaces. It's marvellously funny.
