Busted out a bird bungalow today

A tall bird box made from plywood, recycled Ikea shelves and jarrah.
It has a tin roof to discourage bees.
It stands on a workbench in a very busy (messy) shed scene - importantly you can zoom in to an old olive green filing cabinet on the left and see a fridge magnet featuring a Blakfulla flag and Nyoongar wrestler Neil "The Viper" Coyne

Built an inkle loom for my niece

A newly built inkle loom in the shed with accessories- a yarn holder with black, yellow and red cotton spools, a wandoo weft shuttle, a thin polished wandoo stick, some orange heddles and some ice cream sticks

All the backyard parrots went still for a second before screeching into the air in all directions as this peregrine shot straight through a treeful of rock doves to dislodge them. There was a very different feeling amongst the birds than for the Goshawk- *that's the peregrine. Someone will die now *

Bunuru season in Boorloo (Late summer in Perth) Valentines day After the crowd left the backyard, two parrot couples hung back

A pair of Djakal Ngalkal/Galah - a grey winged parrot with dusty pink legs, chest and neck, and a light pink crest. Cheeky.

A pair of Manatj/Western Corella - a bigger white parrot (size of a streamlined chook) with hidden pale yellow feathers underwing. Random bright red feathers on chest and face sometimes. Moiety bird.
