In game with more sprites and my placeholder player character sprite, now with correct camera settings!
I have been programming for almost eight hours, and I have all of the scaffolding in place to build the core of a picross game, from menu selection to puzzle solving and back to menu. It looks like absolute ass, but it works, and that feels like a victory right now.
Doing the very normal thing of prototyping a nonogram game in GMS instead of doing work on my actual projects. I am my own worst enemy, but at least I made it work!
Concept art from one of my Game Boy projects. Yes, I am aware that I am not an artist, but this is my concept art.
I haven’t been able to buy a copy of How a Game Lives by @jacobgeller.com yet, but I did convince my local library to add it to their collection.
How about an unhealthy amount of everything? I mean….This is just what’s in my car right now.
What fucking planet do you live on, Asha… (Images are from hasty searches. If they are inaccurate, I can’t imagine the actual numbers feeding that delusion either.)
An upload for rant-blog purposes. Cheers to my grandparents for letting me snatch this book from their house when I was like…eleven years old. They probably didn’t know about the screen cap from In The Realm of the Senses in the foreign film chapter, or its graphic description!
Share a photo of your physical game collection to participate in the collective rage about physical media.
Obsessively interrogating every pixel drawn until I'm capable of moving on. Here's to not hating ever tile/sprite that I draw someday.
I’m all for more reasons to celebrate your wonderful game. That said…I’m starving for that upcoming DLC.
That translucent blue could scratch the itch that the SharkWire instilled in me back in 2000. Sure, the product was pointless and probably awful, but…just look at it.
I still haven't fixed this. I kinda want to set my computer on fire.
Managed to go from theory to functioning code in less than an hour. That feels really damn good. Yes, it's simple for someone, I know, let me have this haha.
So, I got a couple of things wrong in the path between theory and functionality. I had to ask my new object if it was being created. It was very helpful in telling me.
