Your superb craftsmanship and artistry is also displayed in the rectangular sapele tarot deck box that resides on my dresser. I count myself fortunate to have been able to purchase it.
Many thanks to Tim, aka @staffandbranch.bsky.social! I discovered his outstanding dice box creations via @seananmcguire.bsky.social back on the old site (during its pre-fascist days). Lucky enough to purchase one of boxes from Seanan’s duplicate order when mail delivery was so unreliable.
I’m getting older and am completely biased. May I present my captain? IMO, Jean Béliveau is at the pinnacle of iconic athletes for his dedicated service to his community during his entire career, and that service continued for his entire life after he retired.
A multicoloured set of TTRPG dice by @longdogdice.com, with a speckled dragon skin pattern. Subdued hues of purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, red.
Prompt: Film you've watched more than six times with a gif. Hard mode: no Star Trek, Star Wars, LOTR, DC, Marvel, Disney, Pixar, Spielberg, Cameron, Wachowskis, or Ghibli.
Wow, thanks for this! I’ve signed up to receive the notification that the print is available. I have a fondness for tigers, at a safe distance of course!
My mother’s family moved from Newfoundland to Halifax, where she was born. I learned to play on a family heirloom, a board carved from a walrus tusk, with sliver trim borders. This was passed down to me because I spent four summers studying walruses on an uninhabited island in Northern Hudson Bay.
This is my second choice. Gate of Ivrel is number one, the first of many CJ Cherry books, and the first of a wealth of outstanding @michaelwhelan.bsky.social covers. It captures the heart of the story in my mind.
"Show me what comic you loved when you were 13, and that's all I need to know about you."
Ooo, bookmarks! I still have my THE MERMAID’S MADNESS bookmark from the Montréal Worldcon in 2009. in my haphazard collection. And one from the British pavilion at Expo67, the Montréal World’s Fair. It was a magical summer for my best friend and me. We were 15 years old, and the Metro was brand new.
Those gauntlets look like the old time hockey ones that actually protected the players’ wrists and forearms, only on steroids! Today’s hockey gloves provide more dexterity at the expense of protection and safety.
This is the sixth Halloween wearing my La Calavera mask by @johnpicacio.bsky.social. Raven and Blood Moon T-shirt from @dicegoblinriddles.bsky.social Lots of compliments from trick-r-treaters again tonight!
From the distance, the shape and the lighting remind of a tiger in a relaxed crouch. I have fondness for tigers, and other large predators, but at a safe distance!
I am fascinated by them too, but their fragility inspires an uneasy sense of dread following the massive ice storm in southern Quebec, eastern Ontario, and parts of northern New England that we endured in early January 1998. 🥶
I bought this DAW edition for the cover! The 1967 Lancer edition that I bought in the high school bookstore was for the story. Cover art by Jack Gaughan.
There is an online store in Alberta that sells a bunch of fun T-shirts, @kopke613.bsky.social. Here is one that I love wearing, the Certified Canadian Donor. He has another for Alberta separatists, the BLOC Rednéckquois shirt. Also hoodie and long sleeve styles. I’m happy with the ones I have.
Okay, timeline cleanse. Post an image from your summer that confers peace.
We have a flowering Hawthorn tree in our backyard where I string holiday lights in the winter. Great view from the dining room, kitchen and upstairs bathroom. The lights start going up at the end of November and come down in early March. Any later and the squirrels get busy chewing the wires.
The Bloc Rednéckquois t-shirt for Alberta separatists, courtesy of @kopke613.bsky.social. They are available from his web store. I have one but I’d never wear it outside here in Montréal.
No cheating: post your lock screen. Photo by @ajamesmccarthy.bsky.social.
“Bunnies! Bunnies! it must be bunnies!” So cute, and the bane of our flower gardens. We had a lovely crop of sunflowers in 2018, and since then the bunnies have mowed them down every year. ☹️🤬

Movie you've watched (way!) more than six times using gifs. Not a gif, just a still image. ("Hard mode" no Star Wars, Star Trek, or LoTR)

These glasses look even better in person. I’ll initiate one tonight with some whiskey stones and Michter’s Small Batch Bourbon (favoured by Jessica Jones), both recommended by @stonekettle.bsky.social. Sadly, Bourbon is on the boycott for life list, it’s Canadian Rye when the Michter’s is finished.
And now it’s providing a home for the Dark Fantasy Tarot card deck from @jedwardneill.bsky.social.
