A professional pedicab driver is offering free rides on Lyndale Ave—Tues 6-10 pm—for interested members of the media, elected officials, & regular folks. If you aren't brave enough to ride, it's an admission the current Lyndale is a menace to public safety and needs to be fixed.

There's a lot of parking back behind the old vacant Red Cow on Hennepin. And bike parking I didn't know existed. Seems like a great spot. Call Charles Wedgely at Lake Sotheby's International Realty for a showing.

STREET RECONSTRUCTIONS NEED MORE WHIMSY

The man known to many as "Doc Fabio" — who gained a brief period of infamy as the hunky long-haired doctor holding the "no dog is illegal" protest sign — has fallen on hard times. Can't believe it's already been 20 years since the closure of the Minnehaha off-leash dog park.

Glad this man was found but this doesn't assuage my concern that drones will collect video that MPD can release for political purposes at key moments. I'm imagining overhead views of crimes in progress to make the point that the city council wants us all to die grisly deaths.

Not saying drones aren't useful but can't get over MPD presenting slides from the drone company, Skydio, to the council. Why do we think a 30% drop in overall crime in SF can be attributed to drones? Why is the overall crime stat from 2024 but the auto theft stat from 2026? Cherry picked?

I want to think the best of our police leaders, but I hope Sheriff Fletcher didn't simply compile every violent crime in the region with a Somali suspect or victim since 2023 and make assumptions about their affiliations.
