You’ve been murdered. Who do you want on the case? My Queen. Christie told a young Joan Hickson that she hoped she’d someday play “her dear Miss Marple”. She is the only Marple. If she showed up, I’d assume I was about to be murdered and I’d be ok with it.
I moved the pillow but the pillow was wrong so I had to remove that and replace it with her comfy bed. She is now happy. She’s a tyrant, Ed.
She makes schlurpy mouth noises when she wants attention, I was reading up on Excel formulas and she was smacking her lips relentlessly. I look down and her pillow is not in the tiny patch of sunlight. She is bereft.
Here’s what I remember. I was staying in a backpackers called The Lions Den - it was at 126 Te Tiki street in Coromandel. I was there for two nights. The first night I decided to splurge and sleep in the ‘Hippy Hut’ in the back garden, it was an old Romany Caravan. I have a photo of me in it.
Here is that Fontana cover from the 70s. This is the last book Agatha wrote. Look at her using her last book to beg us to weed out the fascists. And she’d bloody know - what with her decades of writing psychopaths who hide in plain sight and having travelled the world extensively.
I share custody of my dog. She was with her dad for 5 days there. He spoils her, I’m sure of it. She is his princess. By this point she would have had about three walks and I’m not following her script and she has chosen to express her disdain through the medium of violence.
They even have disco lights around their heads. These little dudes are dancing.
Disco, to me, means colour and movement and energy. There’s something insistent about it. Your paintings almost always have colour, movement and energy. See bad photo of gorgeous painting here. This is SO DISCO
My first thought when I saw the English case was “how are they organising?”. Of course it’s a bloody ring. Of course it is.
Maybe if we all dealt with prejudice like Mel Brooks did (does), the world would be a better place.
I have a handbag I was given for my 19th birthday and I still use it constantly. The more formal the event, the more likely I am to fetch up in a fancy dress and my scruffy old handbag. I’ve had people buy me handbags to try to force me to abandon it. I won’t.
What I wouldn’t give for a storm! They’re having a spectacular storm up north
This is the caption on a reel the teenager just sent me. I am delighted by it
I am jealous of wherever that is that is currently getting absolutely battered by lightning
Over the last few years I’ve been gifted or have found adorable little felt representations of the Green Man/ Hern , Diana the Huntress and a little happy magic frog to represent me and my life. My altar is whimsical AF now and I love it Happy Solstice, witches. May the light guide you on your way
Miss Darcy, aka Mrs The Dog is very proud to be Scottish. She hates sport though. Sport makes the humans shout and that scares her and please stop it
I wouldn’t want a gigantic metal baby gym lightning conductor in my garden right now
