Did a quick recce for a #Chingford walk I’m doing on Sunday and although I’ve passed this spot multiple times I’ve never stopped to admire St Peter & St Paul Church from this angle!

I don’t often go via #Woodford Station so that’s my excuse for not noticing this mosaic and sign before. I did know about the Pankhurst local connection but it should be more widely broadcast.

I know you don’t generally cover streets but did you know there’s a Gresley Close in Walthamstow close to the Pumphouse Museum? He has some illustrious neighbours in other street names too - Newton, Cockerell, Whittle, Telford, Brunel and William Marshall! www.openstreetmap.org/way/4675056#...

I had a fantastic day at the #AntiquesRoadshow at #ValentinesMansion yesterday. It was so well organised and we were so very lucky with the weather. Found out my Georgian looking rummer glass is from the 1970s (at least I can use it now - a perfect glass for a large g&t)!

That’s made me think of this plaque and tree that have lasted longer than the courthouse they commemorate. It was demolished in 2022.

I’ve gone down a bit of a rabbit hole with these two #bollards! My initial thoughts were that MBS was a parish but I now realise they refer to the former Metropolitan Borough of Stepney. The newer one is outside the old Jewish soup kitchen and the other in Lolesworth Close. Both E1.

Don’t know if it’s just had a spruce up but Clapton Station on the #WeaverLine is looking very green. Waiting room door too. Compare it to dull beige at Hackney Downs.

Can anyone help date this street guide more precisely than between 1934 and 1941? The Monseigneur News Theatres opened in 1934 and Queen’s Hall was destroyed in 1941.
