As I said when I read this article the first time (this was the article I was referring to), I am just *shocked* to learn that this woman engaged in racist mockery of a service worker.
The most Argentinian-looking woman I have ever seen in my life. My god.
I'm glad NPI deleted the post, and I'm glad they are apologizing. Please note, however, that Efka did not see fit to apologize directly to the person these posts are at least superficially addressing, and has not reached out to Andy privately.
I've subsequently cooled a bit on MARTY (I need to see it again to know what I think) and CHOICE is flirting with five.
Absolutely wild, to see the first statement and willingly reply with the second.
But of a tangent, but when did theatre criticism get this bad?
It's definitely a strange choice to use that style for the Person of the Year cover, because it does have an inherent mocking implication. For people who don't have a reference, the posing and the facial expressions bring to my mind this kind of late-1800s, early-1900s political cartooning:
This is all great, but I feel like enough attention is not being paid to the manner in which this interview was conducted.
