The conservative party spokesperson Lucy Moore who covers the library provision in the local shadow cabinet is speaking. Saying there has been no complaint and calling for clearer guidance. Calling it discriminatory.
The protest is slowly dying down now, with 6 people left reading books outside the library.
The library is closed, so the protesters are sitting outside the library reading books with LGBTQ+ content.
Someone from the arts team at Norwich Pride has made us aware of another protest against Reform UK in the region. It will be a protest against Reform attempting to stop the pride flag flying at County Hall in Norwich. (Shared with permission)
The protest has moved back into The Forum after going outside for a brief photoshoot, because it is quite warm outside (28°C). There are 20 people here now.

A conversion therapy survivor delivers a speech on how conversion therapy was and still is carried out by NHS clinicians - and is much worse today with gender affirming care for children banned.
Update at 12:13 - attendance is roughly down to 16 now. There is some energy left but the speaker started cutting out in the previous song.

The protesters have hung a hollow ball full of candy on a tree labelled "CAN-SG", before smashing it open to drop the candy.

The pavement has mostly filled with chalked artwork and writings by this point, as the protest nears the 3 hour mark.
At present, despite protest participation having grown to 24, the dancing has ended and the energy from the start isn't present in the noise demonstration.
