While me and some friends were listening to some old children's TV soundtracks, I had a touch of nostalgia when I mentioned this audiotape I own. Still playable but a little warped on Side 2. As a kid, I always loved it when the Postman Pat bit came on. Did anyone else had this tape growing up?
The current progress so far. Still a long way to go before I'm satisfied.
Might have a bit of a play with the layout tonight, just to make sure everything is working alright. Will need to get the signals replaced with new ones I bought during the winter. Some buildings also need new models made too.
TBH I hadn't a lot planned for my 34th yesterday so I decided to go and enjoy some miniature trains. Also I got the chance to drive this engine afterwards. it may be under a new name and in a different livery, but you might recognise this engine from somewhere from a certain series.....
Patiently waiting for news regarding Season 2 of Delicious in Dungeon which is due to be released today.
Just soaking some sleepers in creosote. Some say to let them soak for two weeks while others say soak them longer. I'm just going to let this lot soak till Monday and then let the next batch soak for a week and see what happens.
My Tuesday evenings during this summer are now going to be called Track Tuesdays. For obvious reasons. First length getting some new sleepers fitted.
Returning to animate on Miniature Railway Adventures after a 2 month leave and this is the first thing comes up when opening the last file I saved when working on the project. Some scavenging of the original files are in order here.
For any dog owners out there, please unsure you give your dogs plenty of cold water during this heatwave. Unlike this character. Source: Don't Hug Me I'm Scared Episode 5, Channel 4.
It's been a good long while since I last had a LEGO set of my own, but I couldn't resist the urge to get this set when I heard it was being made.
Puffa has been very busy these last two days. Giving rides to lots of visitors. I'd say this has future potential for a future project.
The song "Chance" was another one I thought would be good for the magic buffers scene. The clip and audio got a little out of sync in one part but made it funny in editing where we have the owl hooting in sync with the tune. Same for Thomas' whistle shortly after. (2/?)
So I made a few more City Hunter music inserts for Magic Railroad. Only chose ones I thought would work or sounded very fitting for the scenes given. This one features the song "Never Go Away" (1/?)
I think I remember the one from episode 30. I believe this clip is from the ep features his character legging on to his ship during Kaori's shootout.
I did do a version of this, but with the JP dub instead. To add a little creative license, I customised the subtitles to make Diesel 10 a little more threatening as well as lowering the pitch in his voice.
While I'm on a quick break, I thought I let you all know that I've resumed this project again. Ffarquhar is now off the exhibition curcit for the rest of the year due to my shift times. But this layout will hopefully keep my mind at bay during the rough times.
NGL this camera shot gives me strong Season 2 vibes. Which is funny, seeing as this is for Season 2 of Miniature Railway. LOL. While my new job is a bit...well...I will try and take some time to work more on this project.
While last night was a hot evening, it was also a very positive evening with the required filming for the Miniature Railway Adventures test episode going really REALLY well. I've just pieced together the animated shots of the characterS with the NEW footage and it really does look amazing!!! 😁
New updated set now made and proper filming is going to take place this weekend. Will need to have a couple of these at the ready.
First look at Lady Grange's model prop before it goes on set tomorrow for its first bit of filming for the test episode of Miniature Railway Adventures. Really, REALLY pleased on how this turned out.
A couple of shots of the set during and after we filmed the diary insert. While none of the footage was useable, it did give me an idea on how to go about it next time around.
So I heard poor Thomas came off the rails at the Nene Valley Railway a few days ago. I just couldn't help but make this.
Before and After. How ten years have changed for this replica model of Reidpath Thomas. Still one of my favourite models in my collection
