I understand why OP removed QRTs, but he's absolutely right, and this is what i keep saying. They redesign these characters every single time we see them. SNES, 64, and Zero Fox share so little in common. I can't believe people are so upset about yet another design.

Additionally if you want to search by a bird *call* rather than an image, you can use Merlin! Both of these apps are run by natural sciences departments of colleges or societies, and contributing images or calls will help expand datasets and provide more research materials.
Ooh, it's rare that i get to say, "I have an app for that," and not intend it sarcastically, but actually i have an app for that! iNaturalist is like a pokedex, you can upload any images and experts will do their best to identify the subject for you. Works for all kinds of flora, fauna, fungus, etc
