Husband, father, grandfather, painter in oil, historically aware, cynic. Getting lefter as I get older. If followed will follow back, but no DMs, please.
Mayan glyphs combined with pop & surrealist elements. A painting for my son. Oil 32X42".
No Kings in Fayetteville-Manlius. Tremendous positive energy, a few middle fingers but a tiny, tiny minority. One woman drove by crying, thanking us for letting know she wasn't alone.
Incredible crowd in Fayetteville/Manlius NY! Positive energy, lots of horns beeping & thumbs up. Magats could be counted w/o running out of fingers. Leaves you feeling very hopeful.
Just finished. A painting for my niece. Places they've been, body art. Oil, 24X×24".
The skill Dali shows in "The Discovery of America by Chrisopher Columbus" painted in 1959 far surpasses this Lighthouse painting. If this even is by him (I've never seen it before) it's most likely dated earlier. I'm doubting it's real, but willing to be proved wrong.
A painting in progress. Don't ask how many hours I'm into this!
My kind of art store! Narrow aisles, wooden floors in need of refinishing, helpful staff. Rochester Art Supply in Rochester NY.
I do maybe 2 acceptable oil paintings in a year. Here's a 48X54" canvas with preliminary work started. I incorporate Mayan glyphs into my images. Beneath the top coat of gesso, you just see a previous attempt based on reliefs on the Venus Platform at Chichen Itza.
It takes time, but it's worth it. One nearing completion, a gift for my niece.
