Patchbird Swinemoor, E Yorks, regular at Flamborough, Spurn, North Cave Wetlands and Tophill Low. Patch 131, E Yorks 267, UK 318 (from 2017 on return to UK). When I’m doing photography then I use Nikon Z9, otherwise it’s shaky thirdrate PhoneSkope images!
Back at my favourite place today, @flamboroughbird.bsky.social , walking the Headland/Old Fall route. Quiet overall but 2 Spot Fly (sure there were more), 2 Yellow Wags, good numbers of hirundines, a Goldie and a few other bits and pieces around the headland. #eastyorksbirding
On a leave day from work, so had another trip down to @spurnbirdobs.bsky.social early doors. White-rumped Sand, Curlew Sand , Whinchat and f Pied Fly the highlights. #eastyorksbirding
A nice mellow morning at @spurnbirdobs.bsky.social with a nice list of species. Missed out on the BB Sand…again! Ha! Nice bit of bling on this Curlew!#eastyorksbirding
Very late into the action (as always), but following my recent run of dips, the Long-tailed Shrike on the Glos/Oxon border stuck around long enough for me to catch up with it this morning. A cracking bird, showing well. Very happy today! ✅🐦
Just leaving Spurn when notification of a Woodchat Shrike popped up at Flamborough. Rude not to I thought, so off I went! County tick #3 in the bag today! @FlamboroughBird #eastyorksbirding @rarebirder.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social
Target bird today was Golden Oriole, with two recent sightings, Spurn was the place to try this morning. Unfortunately no luck, however two East Yorks county ticks helped with Turtle Dove and Glossy Ibis . @spurnbirdobs.bsky.social @birdguides.bsky.social @rarebirder.bsky.social #eastyorksbirding
