It has been great exploring Lukang with the writer Niu Er the Pig Butcher (殺豬的牛二 ... how's that for a pen name?). And this gem of temple art, as Spongebob takes his first tentative steps into the Taiwanese pantheon, is a thing of joy.

Setting up a WhatsApp group for a handful of friends who have connections with both Taiwan and Leicester in the UK. For those unfamiliar with Leicester, not unlike 媽祖 / Má-chó͘, Daniel Lambert is considered by local people to be a very great god.
