this morning i took a bike ride, because bike rides bring me outsized joy, and the icing on the cake was I rode 26 miles and aside from the first 2 miles, the entire route was on protected bike lanes. Love that St. Paul has invested so much in bike infrastructure.

in my new home office i have set up my desk so when i am done with work, I pack up the work laptop/keyboard/mouse and then swing the large monitor to point at the wall. suddenly, my desk is devoid of work and useful for writing and thinking! it's glorious

Here's the drawing i did last night. I recently bought a book of fine art nudes that a couple made together, they are absolutely incredible work. Used one of the photos as a model then doodled on top.

Regarding the kitchen: we were assuming since water was pouring through the wall, you'd want to validate that it dried and there is no further damage to water or electrical, as well as avoid any risk of mold. As you made clear in the maintenance email you sent us at move in; water damage is serious and can cause a lot of issues. It doesn't make any sense to me that our first shower in the house was the first instance of leaking—the issue was clearly pre-existing. Assuming the previous tenants didn't report anything, it seems impossible to know the extent of the damage or how much water has been in there without some sort of investigation.
That was our line of reasoning for why you might need to get into the wall and why there might be drywall work. If that's not what you think needs to happen, we will keep our eye on the wall for signs of mold or rot in the future, as the leaking was both internal into the kitchen and external outside the window.

We don't believe there is damage to the sheetrock because the previous tenants never told us about any leaking nor was there an evidence of water damage on the kitchen wall. (We assume they never had the showerhead pointed directly at the window, which is why it didn't leak previously.)
