My computer just woke me up to tell me it's hungry. I'm not kidding 😂 During a long-running task, it noticed the battery was draining, set the volume to 100% using Computer Use, then opened Google Translate and hit "Listen" so I could hear it asking. Pardon my French, but what the fuck? 🤯
Imagine getting slapped with $259.20 bill because a teammate has deliberately set the timeout to THIRTY DAYS, after which Playwright decided to take INFINITE amount of time to download browser binaries. 😁 Fixed in Playwright 1.60.0 BTW, be sure to update!
My personal projects: "Hmm, maybe if I switch from Biome to Oxlint, I could shave 420 femtoseconds off each CI run and make AI work faster?" At work: Today I had to convince a team member that having over 500 ESLint/TypeScript errors and no CI is, in fact, not a good idea. I just can't 🫠

Sometimes when I'm thinking I'm not a good enough programmer, I remind myself that Instagram, a company with ~20,000 employees and ~$70B in annual revenue, shows me the number of likes with 0.1 precision.
When editing a filter on a custom view, unlike in GitHub Projects, there's no option to update the existing view or create a new one with the modified filter. Having this feature would be really convenient.
I wanted an app that would let me see my remaining Codex and GitHub Copilot usage quotas as easily as I can see my remaining battery life. Prompted Codex, went to the gym, came back to this. Nice.
It also warns you against trust downgrades (i.e. package used to be published with provenance and now isn't) and swaps the install command to prevent you from supply chain attacks.
