Thinking about what's for dinner.
So, we added gelatin to a pie they made, made pastry to bring home, & made a pie with pastry they'd made & chilled & brought that pie home to bake & add gelatin to. All well worked out & thoroughly enjoyable! Add to that a lunch of cheese, biscuits, salad, chutney & of course pork pie!
The youngest child had their prom. I am impressed by her style. I made the trousers 🙂
Friday and today were INSET days, and I made some very important notes. Got to actually teach tomorrow. Ffs.
Last night, I wondered what the fuck the dickheads were up to. Chewie had a mouse. Turns out, the mouse was alive, & still is. Somewhere in our bedroom. Cleaned out the cupboard under the sink to find the (humane) mouse trap. It is now deployed with grated cheese & flaked almonds.
The youngest child is painting her leavers shirt. Currently obsessed with all things cowboys inc Red Dead Redemption.... this was her WIP as of yesterday.
It's amazing what one can achieve when one is not drowning in sodding marking. Yesterday, these were but a vision in my mind!
Today was a day for website development, motorbike viewing, cake baking, and cake eating. Made all the more fucking glorious because no work tomorrow! Huzzah.
So, did you do anything over the Easter break? Yes! Yes, I did. I lay in bed having extra love ins with Ripley cat, and she purred her wonky purrs, and we had love.
Lots of aching bones, one bad back and one fat lip, but by god, we did it! Got to shift that bookcase tomorrow and add the handles to the wardrobe !
Popped down to Morrisons fish counter this morning, learned I should have gone yesterday as they do 20%off fish on Fridays, but I still declare this a success. Made some batter, deep-fried it, toasted brioche buns, and served with chips and salad and OH MY GOD! That was epic!
My daughter bought a ridiculous frog on a uni visit to China. She has carried it everywhere & he became a sticker. I would like to highly recommend getting your dino onto a pair of socks. One of the best presents i gave at Christmas!
So I googled it because I guess in some weird retro way, it's kinda cool. Found 2 listed on eBay, circa £150! I guess I got some fuel money after all.
It might be tricky to carve if I'm honest. A mutant red grape in the shape of a teeny tiny pumpkin:
Mine are generally not everyone's cup of tea. Creepy crawlies mostly. Right knee, spider each side. I've had two nails with a web on the back of my left arm, too, but it's difficult to get a pic.
Here she is. Well, half of her. What an absolute joy! My Y10s are going to be so excited when they see it for the first time tomorrow!
I'm not convinced I could get drunk on Disaronno, it's just dessert in a glass.
