That doesn’t make it any clearer whether Mamdani places blame on the U.S. and NATO for the war in Ukraine as well as Russia. That’s the DSA’s position. Google that and try to find something.

We recognize that the expansion of NATO and the aggressive approach of Western nations have helped cause the crisis and we demand an end to NATO expansion. We also oppose US and NATO military interventionism and the tens of billions in military aid and weapons shipments which only further exacerbates the war and undermine a negotiated settlement, as well as sanctions that will harm ordinary Russians.

We can make the Court into a partisan institution, not just in fact, but in form as well, something that has to, as Steve Vladeck writes,
"look over its shoulder", and exist within the broader democratic system. We can treat these people with the contempt they deserve, and in doing so, destroy the appearance of inevitability and invincibility that underlies their power. Or we can keep ignoring the problem as it festers for another generation.

There have been historical issues with ranking members in similar situations, cancer treatments, and they're largely not present. Connolly was largely absent for his last couple of months. Not only that, they have an important role in raising money.
