Caribbean-American writer of poetry, flash fiction, and essays. Mother. Human. Nothing extraordinary. Never started a trend, fashion, or otherwise (certainly not anything for which I have been credited). Remember: C'è un po' di magia in ognuno di noi.
She cracks the claw with her palm, not the mallet. Some knowledge skips the hands of mothers and lands in daughters whole. #poetry
After the ceasefire, a child's boot in the road. Just one. The news moves on. The boot doesn't. Somewhere its match is still on a foot or it isn't. Nobody reports which. #poetry
Today’s 100-word prompt is SOME LIKE IT HOT; DO THE RIGHT THING. Write in exactly 100 words, a story, poem, or CNF in any genre, using the entire prompt (the two movie titles) or focusing on one of the two. The title doesn’t count toward the word limit. www.caroehenry.com/p/one-hundre...
Happy Pi Day, all! I love a good apple pie with vanilla ice cream, of course. What's your favorite pie?
Quote of the day: "And I knew that it was better to live out one's absurdity than to die for that of others."—Ralph Ellison, from "Invisible Man" Reject blind conformity!
I believe ALL Dems need to be seated first, preventing the Republicans from filling the seats. Then, stand and depart one by one, leaving a picture or a sign representing a survivor of the Epstein files as a young girl, plus Renee Good, Alex Pretti, and others who have lost their lives due to ICE.

Continue recording videos of ICE and the violence they commit. These videos serve as important digital evidence.
This is on the HUD website. Dems need to punch back. Get planes to fly banners with the text GOP SHUTDOWN. Get drones to do it too. Do the same for the Epstein files. Get the message out in as many ways as possible! Messaging IS KEY!
Today’s poem speaks of gratitude for our connection with trees and nature. Also, a little experiment with a video reading.
I am excited to announce the upcoming release (on January 17) of "Immigrant Dreams," a collection of 33 poems that celebrates the resilience and hope of those who dare to dream beyond borders. Preorder your digital copy and honor the voices of all dreamers! #poetry www.amazon.com/dp/B0DQXVG2LZ
On this Thanksgiving Day, let us remember the myriad reasons to give thanks. A world ravaged by conflict still offers strength, love, compassion, joy, and resilience. By doing so, we honor those who sacrifice, fight for peace, and dare to believe.
