My only argument is that I think this light/energy effect looks more interesting than basic ass electricity (plus I like the pink/purple effect) Also makes Shadow slightly more DBZ coded, and since so many people want Sonic to be more like DBZ, I don't see why anyone would have a problem with this

Wow, past me was a BUM, new one's better in every way possible I'm so happy with how this one came out Scaled down to 128x128, but I have a 1024x1024, intended for SA1 sprite rings and maybe the SA2 loading screen if I ever figure that out SA2 sprite rings isn't a thing (yet) :(

Redid a few shoe textures again, just the ones that had more jagged lines in the soles but I made squiggly because I didn't feel like putting in the extra effort in that moment It looked uglier though, so I fixed my mistake and made them not ugly by putting in effort Details in alt text

Sonic Adventure 2 textures in the style of Yuji Uekawa's art as of the early 2000's

These textures are based off of different soles of Sonic, Tails, & Knuckles across different games

Sonic has his gray soles from the SA2 Trial, with a Super Sonic version where the colors are slightly altered like in the piece of Super Sonic art by Yuji Uekawa. He also has a red version for both of these

Tails has his soles based off SA2 and Sonic 06, both with a blue alt since some people think Tails should have blue shoes, and who am I to deny them that, even if I disagree with it

Knuckles has his soles from SA2, Sonic Heroes, and Sonic 06

When I originally made them, I was already exhausted from making many textures (and still had many to make left), so I cut some corners and made these ones have squiggly lines when the textures they're based off of had more jagged lines

In my process of making these textures, the app I use has shapes I can manipulate, but it can be tedious with some shapes. For the jagged lines I have to take a straight line and align them, and then copy and paste each individual line and move them around

That wouldn't be so bad normally, but I just really didn't feel like doing all that at the time, so instead I used a single squiggly line, which was less tedious

It's definitely uglier though, so now that my battery has recharged (I guess?????) I went back and changed it to what it should've been

I promise I do more than just textures Old one (ewwww) on the right for comparison Genuinely, why did I think the old one was acceptable, it's so bad

Sonic Adventure 2 soap shoes texture based off of it's one appearance on Sonic X, now with 100% less gradients, at 1024x1024 (not this pic tho), more accurate colors, and much less UV editing required on the SA2 model

My original attempt at the soap shoes texture based off Sonic X, only at 256x256, colors that are slightly off compared to the show, and an egregious amount of gradients despite the show not really having any on the characters

I think I like making eye textures based off Sonic characters

Sonic's eye texture, an altered Super Shadow eye texture that I made first

The other characters will have this same texture recolored, aside from Super Sonic and Shadow

Super Shadow's eye texture, basically traced over from a Sonic X frame in Episode 38

Super Sonic's eye texture, recolored from Super Shadow's eye texture

Alternate version of Super Sonic's eye texture changed to match a frame from Episode 52 (but not copy and pasted like Shadow's, this is still mostly based off of Super Shadow's eye texture)

With the first two attempts I really doubt it would've looked good, but again, it was really intimidating to move things into the last attempt's placement Thankfully, I'm extremely jobless so I had plenty of time to do it (Details in alt text)

The texture of Shadow's shoes in the base game, upscaled from 64x64 to 1024x1024

The preview I uploaded months ago of Shadow's shoe texture I made in the style of Yuji Uekawa's art. If you genuinely can't see the picture and rely on alt text to "see" it, then I can't do a good enough job emphasizing how bad this texture is compared to my latest attempt. I also deleted the original so this preview I uploaded before is all that's left of this version, and it's very low quality and crusty looking.

Matches the Sonic Adventure 2 Battle box art somewhat better than previous attempt, but the air holes are still too big and spread out for the front and back to have enough space to look good on the model (not pictured here). Since I decided to make the thread on a whim and this specific texture is outdated, this is just the full resolution image at 1024x1024 without any watermark, I doubt anyone is gonna steal this

My latest attempt, what I believe to be closest to Yuji Uekawa's art for Sonic Adventure 2's model
