🏆with an updated build of 8 frog! I beat energy three times, Goryo and Chant. The few changes mattered, the list felt a bit smoother. The maindeck is pretty solid, I'd switch the fourth Subtlety for a second Teferi going forward. 3rd Subtlety could also be something else. The SB still needs work!

Died in semis of today's challenge (8-1) with a list of Gruul Broodscale I netdecked 🦎 The proactive combo plan is strong and you have the option to turn into a grindy midrange deck if needed. There is also a lot of nuance in sideboarding with plenty of room for adaptation! @fireshoes.bsky.social

Challenge top 8 with Boros Ponza inspired by @kellenpastore.bsky.social + trophy in the warm-up league for a 12-1 record🏆 The deck is genuinely good despite my initial doubts! It has a very unique matchup spread and is favored against many of the best decks in my opinion. @fireshoes.bsky.social

Top 16 in the legacy showcase with Stock Tron 🫡 0-1 => 7-1 => 7-2 😿 Both losses were to the mirror match, other games were not particularly close. Tron looks like the clear best deck to me, it's both really powerful and resilient to interaction! @fireshoes.bsky.social

I just won a big modern challenge with Flareless Belcher! The deck has been great for me in the post-ban metagame. I was mostly worried about Boros Ponza, which has been on the rise lately. So I added a second basics in my sideboard, it was enough to beat the deck twice ! @fireshoes.bsky.social

8-8 at the end of day 2, slightly below my expectations ! I made an egregious punt in round one of day 2, which affected me more than it should have. I went 0-3 with a decent looking simic deck 🐒 7-3 constructed with Nursery Landfall 1-5 limited I know what to work on at least 🫡🔥

I won today's challenge with Neobrand, 3rd top in a row🦖 This deck reminds me a lot of pioneer Amalia. You are doing the most powerful thing in the format, so your opponent is always forced to respect your combo. It gives you a lot of room to craft a gameplan and apply it 🫡 @fireshoes.bsky.social

I finally got to play my first Standard games, with a fairly stock build of Simic Cub. I lost in top 4 to the mirror 🫡 I faced a lot of jeskai control, it's unclear if the matchup is actually bad. They have a lot of good answers, but their deck seem to have many issues @fireshoes.bsky.social

Back to the mtgo streets with a decklist very similar to the one I ran in the mocs! 7-1 finish in a challenge, I died in the semis to energy, which proved to be a close matchup This configuration is pretty good but it might need some changes for the broader metagame :) @fireshoes.bsky.social

Duel commander trophy with this silly Creative Technique list I've built 🧑‍🎨🏆 The concept is to cast a 6 mana cascade spell on turn 4 by using at least 2 of your 27 sol lands. After cascading into technique/trickery, you'll try to cast most of your deck, just like in legacy! @fireshoes.bsky.social

It's especially good against jeskai midrange. Ice-fang blocks Ragavan and lets you play a "flash game" with the help of dispute + consign. You sideboard into a bad version of simic ritual, which means that you blank some of their sideboard cards (like high noon).
