My girl was feral. She would hide in the doorway of bedrooms, and when you walk down the hallway, she would leap out, attach herself to your thigh for a moment of stinging pain and then bounce off and run away. She lived to be 19 YO.

We were fortunate- my father-in-law charged the beach on the second wave of soldiers & survived. He was a hard man on his sons and for some, a tough nut to crack. But I loved him & am so proud of his courage.

Buddy just finished a walk and is ready for a snooze in the sun.

We have quite menagerie outside. Lots of finches, juncos, doves and jays, plus a lovely group of Anna’s Hummingbirds. The three feeders & lots of dive bombs!

My grandchildren are my saving grace.

She was 9 lbs and would command the whole bed. We’d be clinging to the edges & she’d be stretched out.
