..and that's game 34 of 2026 complete: Tangle Tower I can't recommend this series of games enough. If you have even a passing interest in the detective/investigative or visual novel genre then you need to check them out. Great stories, fantastic voice acting & real heart. Next up The Mermaid Mask!

..and that's game 33 of 2026 completed: Desktop Explorer An incredible puzzle game! It scratches that nostalgic itch perfectly with it's 90's based OS interface whilst cleverly hiding lots of surprises and emotional storytelling within. Gets you really thinking outside the "text" box at times too.

..and that's game 32 of 2026 completed: Detective Grimoire Prior to starting my playthrough of The Mermaid Mask, thought I'd check the previous Grimoire games out first, and really glad I did. It has a real Lucasarts "Point and Click" charm, and is perfect for a single sitting session.

..and that's game 31 of 2026 completed: Gothic Remake Possibly the most difficult RPG of its type I've played. Zero handholding, no waypoints and limited fast travel all contribute to a tough but rewarding adventure. If you can survive the punishing first few hours you are in for a real treat.

Some really great looking Indies arriving over the next week. These definitely have my attention. Any you have your eye on? #IndieGaming

..and that's game 30 of 2026 completed - Streets of Rage 4 Time for my annual playthrough of my favourite arcade brawler. For me it's simply unmatched and always a joy to play. I'll also take the oppoortunity to give Absolum a shoutout, another Dotemu classic with lots of SoR4 DNA. Don't skip it.

..and that's game 29 of 2026 completed - StarFox Easily one of my favourite games of the year so far... a lovingly crafted remake that offer the perfect balance of old and new. It's easily one of the Switch 2's best looking titles to date as well, with some surpringly well directed cutscenes too.

..and that's game 28 of 2026 completed - No, I'm Not A Human After a bit of a gaming break due to life "stuff" I'm now back on an indie kick and this one proved right up my street (after being recommended by my daughter). It's quirky, weird, unsettling and defintiely unique.

For those interested here's my Tiermaker ranking for the series based on this 2026 playthough: I struggle to seperate the S-Tier titles, each equally brilliant in their own way.

..and that's game 27 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil Village So that concludes not only the story of Ethan Winters (surely one the most mistreated protaganists in recent gaming history) but also my re-playthough of the entire mainline Resi series. Can't see me ever tiring of these games.

..and that's game 26 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil 7: Biohazard Now that's more like it! Feel this is possibly one of the most underrated games in the series. For me it ticks all the right Resi boxes and is a great return to form. Next up: Resident Evil Village (nearing the end now)

..and that's game 25 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil 6 This was such a slog. Incredible how a series can go from the heights of Resi 4 to whatever the hell this game is! Just glad Capcom decided to take the series in a fresh direction following this one. Next up: Resident Evil 7: Biohazard

My latest Indie obsession has arrived - #DeadAsDisco It's like the gaming lovechild of Sifu & Hi-Fi Rush mixed with the combat of Batman Arkham, and I'm all here for it! It's Early Access at the moment but still well worth a purchase. A demo is also available on Steam if you need convincing.

..and that's game 24 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil Revelations 2 Had fond memories of this one and the replay held up. It's a marked improvement over the first Revelations game. Puts its episodic structure to good use and has an AI partner system that actually works Next Up: Resident Evil 6

Yep Notts. Fantastic gig, I even somehow survived the floor right near the stage. Had the pleasure of seeing them with Keith a couple of times in the 90's (one of my few remaining photos). Incredible how they are still going and bringing this level of show.

..and that's game 23 of 2026 completed - Pragmata Capcoms run of quality titles continues with this excellent 3rd person shooter. Felt very reminicent of 360/Gamecube era games like Vanquish and PN-03. Sublime visuals, engaging combat and a satisfying ending all elevate it to a must play status.

..and that's game 22 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil 5 Some very questionable design decisions leave this one being a bit of a mess. The forced co-op hasn't aged well at all, with the majority of the time being spent preventing Sheva from wasting all the ammo Next up: Resident Evil Revelations 2

..and that's game 21 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil Revelations It's around this time that the series had lost its way a little. A good setting is squandered by overly simplistic gameplay, an awful bunch of side characters and a real lack of atmosphere. Next up Resident Evil 5

..and that's game 20 of 2026 completed - Replaced Taken a short break from my Resi playthroughs to make time for this one. Have had my eye on its development for a couple of years & the final game hasn't disappointed. Some of the best pixel artwork Ive seen, with a killer soundtrack too. Loved it!

..and that's game 19 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil 4 Remake Easily the best of the modern remakes. Fleshing out the original in all the right areas whilst still remaining true to the main story beats and key moments. Next up: Resident Evil Revelations

..and that's game 18 of 2026 completed - Resident Evil 3 Remake Definitely the weakest of the remakes. Its short playtime and massive deviation from the original release really dont help matters. Coupled with incredibly linear maps (even by Resi standards) and a real absence of any form of puzzles.
