With a full set of ES gear (accounting for the reduction) we can add a massive 2187 flat Life to our total! And that's flat Life! Given that we're also increasing that by about 170% via the passive tree, that winds up being closer to *5900 LIFE ADDED*. That's almost a whole extra character's worth!
"but brun! that's also -1200 max life at level 100!" hypothetical respondent, you can get that back in *one item* if you're willing to shell out some currency for it.
To address the elephant in the room immediately, what got my gears turning on this was the [The Apostate] node right off the bat. Converting all your item ES into Life can get you A Lot™ of Life and - since RF bases its damage off your max Life - that means A Lot™ of damage.
