Some out of pocket shit I write in my character sheets for m y fic DOR:

Smoke detectors are his enemy, and so are any sucking systems (yes you can vacuum him up)

Issues with dexterity and controlling his own strengths → golden retriever struggling to realize they’re no longer a puppy vibe

shit at realizing he’s not invincible or even invulnerable → might fucking die from it like an idiot

Fire typically comes from his hands and feet (if he had any) but can also come from his mouth or anywhere really

6. Other than the entire scene I wrote of Namjoon mourning in the mermaid AU, I enjoyed writing this lil moment from an AU where Jinkook love each other and both know it but SJ is in the closet and dealing with internalized homophobia, and unfortunately JK can't do much about it

He chances a quick glance towards it as he dodges a slash from Vante’s dagger.
There’s smoke.
The Mare’s here. I need to get him alone.
As soon as he thinks those words, a voice that isn’t his echoes inside his mind, making him freeze in place:
“Interesting.”
The voice is deep and velvety. It holds a soothing yet airy quality to it that makes it hauntingly beautiful.
And intimidating. Or maybe it’s just the representation of it in his head that makes it sound like that.
Either way, it’s not his voice, and that fact alone is enough to make him stumble back.
Vante though, doesn’t take that as an opportunity to strike. Instead, the design on his face changes into what can only be described as a smug expression.
Oh.
That was Vante’s voice.

This. (TW for mention of parental loss/grief) It finally felt like the type of writing I thought I was capable of and that felt like me. It'd been so long UGH

He hates silence. Hates how loud his thoughts are when he’s alone.
The silver bracelet around his wrist shines as he raises his hand up in front of him. The thin band feels heavy now, carrying the memory of what once was.
All he can use to distract himself right now is the gentle song of the ocean coming from the window he left ajar earlier before he went to bed, hoping the sound would lull him to sleep or at least take his mind off of things. But it’s not enough.
It’s in moments like this that he misses his mother the most.
He digs his nails into his palm, body tensing against the growing heaviness that’s consuming all his senses. It catches in his chest, making a home there, weighing it down like an anchor. His eyes sting as he glares at the ceiling, betrayed by it as if it could have prevented the inevitable pressure against his heart.
His hand starts to shake as his vision blurs. It falls limp by his side, and suddenly the idea of raising it back up seems as frivolous as it feels impossible.
A breath catches in his throat, a weak wheeze escaping instead. He clenches his jaw, fighting against the way it quivers as the pressure in his chest rises.
A deep inhale through his nose. Then another. And another. Trying his hardest to space them out evenly. To reel back that feeling to something more manageable, tamable.
But it doesn’t leave, cemented in his throat, sticking to his oesophagus like grease. It grows and grows, so much so that he can no longer attribute the haziness of his vision to the alcohol anymore.
Frantically sitting up, he fights against the heaviness of his limbs, stumbling to the bay window and grabbing the handle with trembling hands.
Fresh air. That’s what he needs. Yeah.

ngl I haven't written many funny things this year. Though I did enjoy this stupid chase scene in DOR where JK runs after a villain and goes through a temple and they both get yelled at for not removing their shoes. Or Hobi getting bullied about his 'imaginary friend' (Jimin) in my Mermaid AU

Before he can figure out what to do, The Mare makes a sharp turn from the bridge, hurriedly crossing to the other side of the road. Luckily for him, it's quite empty right now. He bee-line to one of the temples there.
Jungkook is right behind him. He’s not going to lose him like this.
Once he enters, he quickly follows The Mare across.
“Excuse me! No shoes, please!” An older man calls out.
Jungkook and The Mare both freeze, heads snapping towards the voice.
They both start bowing profusely, mumbling apologies as they take off their shoes, avoiding the angry glares from the old man.
Once his shoes are off, The Mare quickly makes his way to one of the halls. With a whine, Jungkook hops around as he struggles with his left shoe before quickly picking them up and following after him.
“Wait!” he calls out as The Mare disappears behind a corner.
Another glare from the old man makes a string of apologies fall from his lips as he quickly walks after The Mare.
He finds him quickly putting his shoes back on in front of a door leading outside further down before making his way out. With a groan, Jungkook follows. Why is it always such a pain to go after him?

‟Oh yeah, I technically work with that aquarium now for my research. What part does he work at?”
‟He’s deals more with the educational aspect. He works as a guide.”
‟Hm, not gonna work with him I guess.” Namjoon grins. ‟Well then, I’ll wait to believe his existence for when you introduce him to me then.”
Jungkook giggles at Namjoon’s words, eyes on Hoseok’s appalled expression.
His face is already red despite only having one shot. Ah, the unfortunate Asian flush.
‟He exists!” Hoseok turns to Seokjin. ‟Hyung, tell him.”
Seokjin pretends to think about it before shrugging, a devious twinkle shining in his eyes. ‟I don’t know. Can’t recall.”
Hoseok immediately scoffs, mumbling something under his breath as he takes out his phone. When Jungkook sees him open his photo gallery, he cackles.
Hoseok glares at him. ‟I’m looking for proof okay?!”
Jungkook continues to laugh, shaking his head.
These guys sure are something.

“Are…Are you even part of Cypher? If you’re spying on them like this?”
Frost nods, like it’s obvious. “Think of it like this; I am a wolf, the members of Cypher are my sheep. And I love my sheep.” His voice darkens on the last few words, eyes a little wild. There’s an intensity in his expression that wasn’t there before, a dangerous spark in his cold dark eyes. “But they are sheep, at the end of the day, aren’t they? Dumb little sheep. So I have to make sure I keep them in check sometimes, you know?” He straightens up, face back to its more joyful expression. “Don’t think too hard about this, hero. I’ve got enough on you to keep you occupied, don’t waste your time worrying about my team.”

In the summer I got to write on my hammock which was really nice. Most of the time I write in bed but I finally got a desktop setup and I found that writing there's been really helpful! Here's my amazing setup heheheh~
