When I conducted the Niitani San interview on Friday, I tried a few new things. Along with recording the interview from my desktop, I also filmed the entire thing from a perspective that would show us both conversing in real time. It’s going to be fun to play around with.
Well, Niitani San and I reunited after 9 years and did a brand new interview! We talked for nearly 2 hours about his new game Double Tower but also much more about classic game development and the history of Compile game studios. I can’t wait to share it!!
Me on a Zoom call with myself testing out this new translation tech I'll be using to converse with Niitani San in our next interview. It's pretty wild. He'll be able to hear me speaking Japanese in my own voice, and I will be able to read what he is saying translated to English on my screen 🤯

Feels so good to be working on video again! This was a video I was going to release in 2019 and… ya know. Life happened. I’m so glad to be finishing it now. Have to “edit myself back into shape” so to speak. The screen shot should be a hint… it’s also very musical.
When I was streaming the Guardian Legend earlier this week, I was so thankful for the ability to just take a picture of the PW rather than having to write it down lol. These PWs were insane!! 😂

Tonight I will be streaming my favorite NES game, and honestly, IMO the best NES game there is: The Guardian Legend. It’s a hybrid game that was way ahead of its time and it’s probably going to take me 2-3 streaming sessions to get through it. I’m excited! I’ll drop the link when I go live.
I used to try and create the Delorean out of random Lego parts back in the late 80s. I wish I had a picture of it as I think I did alright in my mind lol. But now… kids don’t know how lucky they’ve got it!!

Well, last nights stream was a success! Had to battle some technical challenges at the beginning but we got it sorted. Thank you so much to everyone who popped, watched and said hello. We gonna do it again tonight around 8EST with Dick Tracy on the Genesis. A vastly underrated game IMO.
Tonight is the night!! I’m excited to finally start streaming. Been toying with this for a long time. Lots of prep and thought too into how I was going to do it. I’m sure I’ll only have 5 people show up the first night but that’s fine lol. Either way, it’s gonna be Revenge of Shinobi, one of my favs

Went to my local Caribbean Market and they had Parrotfish for sale. I knew they ate them down in the islands, and I’ve been down there a million times, but it was still interesting to see these here for sale as it’s not something you see stateside often.
