@chrissyd-comedy.bsky.social During our brilliant chat for Retro Tat, I mentioned my Paul Daniels kit I adored as a kid and I've just seen it in a charity shop! 🤩
Exhibit A in my defence trial against the restraining order from Greg Davies.
Oh shit, if they see their own shadow does that mean we have to have six more weeks of World Cup?
I've just seen this photo from a house on Rightmove and I can't wait for next season when Greg and Alex introduce a third. I'm here for Throuple Taskmaster.
Saw this poster and got very confused for a few minutes. OK, Stephen Mangan as William de Worde and Sarah Hadland as Sacharissa - that works. But who are the other two? Is Ardal O'Hanlan going to drop -ings all over the place?
I'm excited and delighted and any other rhyming adjectives you can think of to be supporting the fabulous @vixleyton.bsky.social on Monday evening, hosted by @coherentcomedy.bsky.social . Get your free tickets at tinyurl.com/4xcjhw2s
Count Binface is now my second favourite person with a household item on his head.
I think it is safe to assume at any given moment this week that I am melting.
7yo's latest addiction is Crisscross puzzles. She was doing one themed on names and was excitedly telling me some of them: "Paul! Like Paul McCartney! Ross! Like Ross Noble! Alex! Like Alex Horne!" Once more very pleased with my own parenting. (Also please note the very TM-coded hat)
Take That's first draft: (Yes, I know I make this joke every time but it's in my head for the rest of the day now so you have to put up with it too)
HOWEVER one time my parents were watching a documentary about King's Cross Station (in a rare break from all the murder they watch) and sent me this screenshot, asking if I'd been moonlighting there and not told them. And I genuinely had to ask myself if it was possible I'd just forgotten.
My hobby is collecting pizza slogans that I could also use for my Tinder bio.
Taking the 7yo to see Michael Rosen live on Sunday, and I'd like to say it's for her benefit but it absolutely isn't. Here's me performing The Michael Rosen Rap at my primary school talent show (the year before I did a Tom Lehrer song and scandalised the school).
Of course, I've long been aware that what we in the UK call crisps are called chips in many other European languages, as well as the US. But this has absolutely messed with my head.
I genuinely cannot get my head round the fact that not only have I almost sold out the room today, *Mitch Benn* is playing it after me. I've got to reset the sound desk and mic so that one of my comedy heroes can do his show on the same stage. Someone pinch me and tell me this is real.
My new favourite pun-based döner kebab shop name has just dropped. Though I'm still holding on to my dream of opening Prima Döner or Dönerwetter one day.
Did David Cameron (who was Prime Minister at the time) tone down his posh accent when talking to the public in comparison to when he was speaking in Parliament? TL;DR = yes, yes he did. And yes, I used this photo in my presentation of the thesis and I regret nothing.
Mr Zoe has misophonia. He took one look at this book someone gave the baby, shuddered at the idea of pressing buttons to get "crunching munching" sounds and immediately vetoed it.
Seeing The Feeling live tonight for the first time ever was utterly incredible. Twelve Stops & Home came out when I was 18 and it was the soundtrack to a time of life when I was figuring out a lot about myself. So it was an emotional experience tonight and I wept through Strange. 1/
Queuing outside the club to see my favourite band growing up 🤘 But they know their audience are all elder millennials so the gig starts at 6pm so we can all go home by 9 as our backs will be hurting.
Special mentions to a few games I spent way too much time on in the 00s but couldn't find: Castle of the Winds (incredibly low-budget Windows 3.0 dungeon crawler) and Euroreporter (travel around the EU reporting on issues and interviewing people in different languages) My9games.com
