I'm thinking of creating a visual scale of Hollywood's Faith in Media Literacy using modern iterations of the Joker. It basically goes between Jack Nicholson and Whatever The Fuck Jared Leto Was Going For.

Jack Nicholson posing as The Joker from Batman 1989. This is a Joker who takes pride in his appearance. Makeup, hair and clothes are all on point, this is a Joker who is in it for the laughs.

Joaquin Phoenix as The Joker. His hair and makeup are also on point, but there's something inherently darker about this iteration.

Heath Ledger as the Joker. Clothes are on point but the makeup and hair are smudged and dishevelled. The idea here is that it isn't enough to have his actions show you how broken the man is you have to show it in his appearance too.

Jared Leto as the Joker. I don't know who the fuck thought this was a good idea. It feels like every caricature of Heath Ledger's Joker condensed into one bad actor. The word "Damaged" written on the forehead isn't so much a punchline as it is a brick to the face with how not subtle it is.

Cursed T-Shirts that will fucking kill you if you wear them.

A set of 3 funko pop related t-shirts. The left most is a grey The Mandalorian shirt which shows funko pop Mando walking away from the viewer with most likely funko baby Yoda in his flying baby chair. Next to that is a black shirt depicting funko Captain America which has also painted him in red white and blue stripes. Finally the last black shirt is funko Maleficent surrounded by sickly green mist as she chants some sort of spell, possibly a spell to end her suffering as a funko pop.

A fantastic commission I got from @sillybun33.bsky.social Bilge has ended up on the bad side of Rocket, and the Raccoon has decided to get a bit mean to get what he wants. Will Bilge regret calling Rocket's bluff when he has the full weight of the Raccoon on his groin?

Illuminated in the sickly green of the prison force-field, a burly, chubbier Rocket Raccoon looms over Bilge, my OC Pig-Goblin. Bilge, in his red and white jump suit, is pinned to the ground with magnetic manacles which are holding his arms and legs to the floor.

Meanwhile, Rocket, in his yellow jump suit, is standing between Bilge's spread legs, one foot is pressed against Bilge's groin in a way that implies Rocket has taken a step up onto Bilge's vulnerable spot. Rocket stares down at Bilge's face, and is saying "Now, are you gonna squeal, or am I gonna have to take another step?" Bilge, gritting his teeth but with tears forming in his eyes from the pressure, is saying back "Ngh!! You wouldn't flarkin' dare!!"

These clickbait Google alerts used to lead to actual articles but now it just feeds the clickbait text into their slop machine. Can't even get organic clickbait anymore smh

A Google alert saying trains at Glasgow Central were cancelled due to damaged overhead cables. It doesn't tell you which trains though because they want you to click on the alert.

However, whereas before these alerts came from a specific website, now they just feed the alert into Gemini and have it generate slop with some vague indication that it's pulling this info from different sources.

I'd rather deal with a clickbait news site full of ads than this shite.

I do have some Dad characters with confirmed kids in my OC lists but I also need to consider if any of the others will have kids in my canon. In any case let me remind you of my OCs who are fathers in the modern Zonino setting. More info will be in the alt text.

Jack Ballantyne is the Rector of the University which most of my OCs jobs revolve around and is father to Robert Ballantyne. Jack is one of the few non LGBT wrestlers in the group that use Zarek and Harry's private gym, and only really got a place by finding out what Zarek and Harry were up to and asking for a spot in return for not telling. At first it was awkward for the Uni staff and students of the group to go up against Jack in the ring, but he soon won them over with charm and surprising wrestling prowess.

Jack is jovial and approachable, which makes him a popular sight on the university grounds. He is a force to be reckoned with when he gets angry though, his normally green eyes turning red.
