Anyway episode mode is very "generic fighting game story mode" but the writing and voice acting are fun. I played through all of them back-to-back yesterday which was A Choice Anyway here's random screenshots I took from bits that made me chuckle

The Serpent Society getting a card is definitely not something I expected and it made me laugh. A bunch of d-listers who formed a workers collective of snake-themed villains so that they could provide benefits and demand better pay while subcontracting team members to other villains.

One of my favorite things about playing Slayer in Strive is occasionally you just end up with too much meter and get to combo into his goofy 2-bar instakill-esq super and the opponent often just pulls their router out of the wall in response it never fails to make me laugh my ass off

The siege update for Dwarf Fortress is the coolest goddamn thing. The fact that invaders now react to killing-fields and will start building or digging to bypass defenses is so cool. Bolt throwers are probably a bit overtuned, since you can basically create machine gun emplacements buuut
