Diversity, immigration, & civil rights are what made this country worth living in. We have to continue to fight for the human & civil rights of all peoples regardless of where they come from or what ethnic/cultural group they are in. We are stronger together when we care about each other.
My kids and I had such fun at the pride parade & festivities on Saturday. I can’t get over how joyful & safe Pride events are. The little ones always have a blast & everyone is always kind and open hearted. My kids love it and the lesson that we can all be who we are with respect & acceptance.

To be perfectly clear for anyone to hate all migrants and immigrants is just racism and xenophobia. Migration is a reality of the human condition on a rapidly changing planet. Fools stuck on archaic narratives of tribalism and capitalism need to shut the hell up already with their hate.
After a rough week I took my kid to see Mandalorian and Grogu… it was so good! Funny, sweet, action packed, lots of great cameos for the real fans and super satisfying for anyone who is an actual fan. I highly recommend for those anyone who actually likes Star Wars. So good!
So this turned out AMAZING! I cut the tofu block in half to increase surface area while in the marinade using three blocks (doubled the marinade and tripled the glaze). It turned out so good I will be making it every spring now!
This season of rebirth & renewal please remember that caring about how our consumption & habits impact world communities is the bare minimum of showing we care about others. If convenience is more important to you than freedom for all, then your choice of apathy is collaboration in doing harm.

When women are in power everyone gets education and social services… gee what a scary prospect.
“Against all enemies, foreign and domestic”…. The entire MAGA Nazi administration is actively committing treason. Attacking citizens & legal residents and violating the constitution. Where is our defense against the domestic threat? Did they actually mean the damn oath? www.army.mil/values/oath....
My lungs won’t allow me to attend winter protests but I am already engaged in every other way physically possible for me. Then people who do nothing want to bitch that it won’t matter. Of course doing nothing will make zero difference. If everyone tried to do what they can it can make a difference.
It’s always been rich against poor…. And the rich pull the puppet strings of the ignorant and the racist to make people think it’s about race or religion. It’s quite literally always about money and power. Until we all stand up and say no more it will not stop.

I don’t often make it but with avocados and sourdough on hand I couldn’t resist. Sustenance & a little spark of joy. I want to attend the protests so badly but my asthma makes it impossible to be outside for very long at these temperatures. Instead more community organizing & support for today.
That’s the kind my kids & I like but it is so hard to find and way overpriced. Bc of the cost we usually opt for making tempeh bacon at home using the recipe in the Veganomicon. I like to use two whole packages and double to marinade then it gets better & better as we only pick out a few at a time.

My teen told me she had been researching climate change & social justice so she can do more in 2026. She told that we already do most of the stuff she read about like being vegan, socially engaged in civil rights, ♻️, & try to use local retailers. It made me feel so good to hear her hopeful!
Racism of all styles are on the rise because of the far right. It doesn’t matter what country or creed they ascribe to. Fascism & extremist nationalism fosters hate in all forms. It uses manipulation and control of the population via twisting media and religious messaging to its own ends.
