I’m stuffing my face in Lugo. P.S. fuck the EHRC and their segregationist bullshit.
Aside from the flagrant corruption which is favouring the United States and not other countries, this is so far away from being what you would call a “dumb call”
I assume this is the reference. I got blocked too, despite zero interaction between us.
I’ve been progressive my entire life. I did move slightly to the centre after university and the brexit vote but came back full circle. My main constant is being extremely socially liberal. I think the only thing that makes me socially democratic is my sometimes (perhaps naive) faith in institutions
If I called all the shots in the UK, I would build a million more balcony access homes. They do space, utility and affordability in spades; the only reason why so many mid-century ones look ugly is because they’re next to big roads and car parks. The picture is from the Bauhaus UNESCO site in Dessau
With a few seats left to declare the Greens have won a majority on Lewisham Council. www.salamandernews.org/lewisham-ele...
Yes, and I can’t say I’m surprised when I look into these red wall ventriloquists.
Yes, this is exactly the point that she was responding to, but she’s not going to change her mind because it’s what she fervently believes.
Timeline cleanse of Bilbao’s exquisite Guggenheim. One of the best cities I’ve ever visited in terms of people, food and character.
This kind of thing makes me embarrassed to share a language with Americans. Stop trying to project, grow a skin and take the L instead of trying to make out like you’re a victim. Absolutely pathetic.
I love rice or congee breakfast. This is my most common breakfast these days. Just nothing like it in winter.
The best thing Brixton could do is vote in another party, as this MP has perfectly illustrated how you will never matter under a FPTP system unless your seat is considered competitive.
I’m willing to give the Greens a lot more latitude than Labour at the moment, since they don’t refer to immigration and immigrants as a “hygiene factor”
Government responds to the petition to use proportional representation at the next UK general election. (Spoiler: the response is disappointing)
Picked up this hot sauce from Barcelona in Deptford yesterday. Really unusual depth of flavour with squid ink a key ingredient. Had it with fish fingers and mushroom paella and it went very well. Probably more suited to seafood than chicken, but I’d have it with both. Highly recommended!
Granada is a great city aside from the Alhambra too. Great colours, so much interesting history to explore, fantastic and generous food and nice people. It’s a city with a lot more to offer than its tourist attractions. I hope to explore the wider region in the coming years.
Thrilled to have finally ticked the Alhambra off the bucket list. Photos don’t fully grasp what it feels like to be here.
Maybe this is the book you’re looking for? A history of the world written like a young adult novel. He also has one on the history of art. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernst_G...
Reminded of the ice cold revenge Celtic dealt Lazio - after their fans had marched and performed sieg heils through Glasgow earlier that day - by both beating them and making some of the best banners I’ve ever seen.
