Wow! Amazing. This Gilles Peterson set was a real favourite that I played constantly…still do. Stevie Wonder’s ‘All I Do’ into Pharoah & on through to John Klemmer’s ‘Free Soul’ was a particular highlight of the set… @gillespeterson.bsky.social

Has there ever been a song as good as Speed King for paying homage to 50s rock n roll - lyrically & musically - then launching into the stratosphere in such a frenetic & heavy way? Monumental.
It’s great. I’ve heard (own!) many of what he has, but when he digs deep into private press LPs things go bonkers, in a fascinating way. Anyway, Parachute is phenomenal, & of course you know the steal by Radiohead Paranoid Android on there? Seeing The Pretty Things some yrs back was a real moment.
