Turkish Airlines has donated a Special Presidential Transfer Vehicle (SPTV) to the United States. It comes equipped with food trolleys, with snacks and a full meal service is available. It is not known whether the SPTV will be donated to the Trump Presidential Library after Trump leaves office.

150 years ago the country was recovering from the Civil War and the assassination of President Lincoln, as well as dealing with the task of Reconstruction. In my reading on that period I don’t recall any mention of ballrooms, in the white house or elsewhere.

I’m old enough to have seen a movie in Cinerama, but I never did. I only saw such movies reformatted for regular screens. But now Turner Classic Movies is showing “How the West was Won” in Cinerama without the reformatting. It doesn’t quite work, but you get the idea. Bless them for this !

I don't watch much on YouTube but I listen to a lot of podcasts. I'm puzzled why, across the political spectrum, people want to go and see (or even pay to see) a live appearance by their political YouTube or podcast host. It's not as if they're going to see Taylor Swift.
