Played Puerto Rico special edition last night and it was a gorgeous game. Definitely terrible at playing but highly replayable.
Tbh part of why people hate decaf is the lack of caffeine - but also because it’s usually badly done with heavy chemicals. I used to drink terrible quality decaf as I switched to low caffeine options and when the first smell is more like burnt rubber, you aren’t doing yourself any favours.
@joshpetri.bsky.team accused me of being a coffee snob. Considering I’m happily watching a brewing competition and now have a backpack full of decaf beans to try… he’s probably right.

Caught up with a friend that I worked with after the conference. He says, "I grabbed some beer and some cheese". In Brussels it seems you can just order half a loaf of bread and a block of cheese as a snack. I see this is how the Europeans live, and possibly why we can't have nice things.

Played Spirit Island for the first time last night. It’s definitely not for the faint of heart. 4 hours of playing later and I think I may understand the basics. It’s the most complicated board game I’ve ever played.
