I, too, am subject to the ancient artists curse, by which they see something which -must- be corrected only after posting an artwork. In this case; the light on the chair was all wrong. What is most important is that I get all of this straight before I hit 'publish', of course.

This is the exact moment the new 'Odyssey' film trailer lost me. I mean, dressing them as Romans and handing you a gladius and pretending it is a xiphos is just Hollywood now. As predictable as an 'othering' filter. Urine yellow, in this case, to suggest 'oldness'. But plate armor? So f'n stupid.
I don't know where to put this, so I will put it here; the moment the shots rang out. Perhaps you have some sort of galaxy brain reason we can't just read his face, in that human way?
The influence of this style upon 'The Mouse' himself is obvious, if you look at it from the right angle. And illustrations of ornate 'tea rooms' were very much a part of that work, so there had to be one here. Well, a coffee house, in this case, as is appropriate to the western setting.
