The wage gap is about more than fairness. It affects whether Black women can build wealth, support their families, buy homes, save for retirement, and weather financial emergencies. Equal pay is economic security. #BlackWomensEqualPayDay
The wage gap facing Black women is not accidental - it's systemic. It reflects racism, sexism, and years of policies that undervalue Black women's labor, talent, and leadership. That injustice must end. #BlackWomensEqualPayDay
Black women working full-time, year-round earn just 65 cents for every dollar paid to non-Hispanic white men. That gap adds up across every paycheck, every promotion, and every year on the job. Today, on #BlackWomensEqualPayDay, we're calling for change.
We'll be joining Rewrite the BiLine on July 27th for a webinar discussing why inclusive definitions of family on our laws are so important. Register here to join us virtually: www.eventbrite.com/e/expanding-...

Pay equity is everyone’s fight. With rising costs and this administration's attacks on workplace protections and our safety net, the affordability crisis is hitting LGBTQIA+ households especially hard. We must protect workers’ rights and improve wages. #LGBTQIAEqualPay
LGBTQIA+ households are facing a serious wage gap. The gap is even worse for LGBTQIA+ people of color, who miss out on thousands each year in wages. #LGBTQIAEqualPay #PrideInYourPay
Today is #LGBTQIAEqualPay Day! Amidst attacks on the LGBTQIA+ community, fighting the wage gap and creating more inclusive, equitable workplaces is more urgent than ever. Learn more at equalpay2day.org #PrideInYourPay

When we look only at averages for a group as diverse as the AANHPI community, we miss significant disparities across different ethnicities. We must disaggregate the data to ensure key disparities are not ignored during decision-making. #AANHPIEqualPay

More than 60 million Americans are balancing work and care every day, BPC's Adrienne Schweer points out, many of whom are "sandwich caregivers" caring for multiple loved ones at once. Paid leave would extend a lifeline to help countless families stay afloat.
"Paid leave has become an essential part of attracting talent, and retaining it," says SHRM's Greta Kessler, emphasizing that paid leave is good for business and keeps workers attached to their jobs as they manage health and caregiving needs.
"Caregiving, whether paid or unpaid, is the backbone of our economy," says @clasp.org's Elyse Shaw, urging lawmakers to pass comprehensive paid family and medical leave for all Americans.
