Made it to 35 today. I don't call attention to birthdays much, but I'll make this an exception.

Nothing like a going through a nice stack of comics to celebrate clearing another script!
It's been two days and my brain's still trapped in the Jujutsu Kaisen's Shibuya Incident arc.
Yet another brilliant entry in my favorite comic series from my favorite creative team in the business!
Obsession had so many moments that forced a reaction from me. Not only scares. It made me laugh and cringe in equal measure. And to top it off, moments that start as scares only to plunge into heartbreak!
Next up on my to read pile. A reread through the Marvel Knights era of Black Widow.
Last weekend, I managed to grab a ticket to see Akira Yamaoka's last concert of his US tour. It was a blast seeing him perform and have a chance to chat a bit about Silent Hill 3!
I love the premise, but the tone is surprisingly cheery for a story centering around the Yakuza. But something flipped near the tail end of vol. 2 and especially during this sequence. Showcasing an cold menace behind the smiles. Now this is more like it!
Lately, I've been diving more into romance comics and Yakuza Fiancé has been one of the focal points. The artwork from Asuka Konishi first caught my eye with her elegant line work, but the story has taken longer to get its hooks in me. 1.
I'm a simple guy. If I love a film, I buy it on physical media and pop on the director's commentary ASAP.

Old school Sam Raimi is back!! Send Help was such a twisted fun flick that's right at home with Drag Me to Hell & The Evil Dead Trilogy. And Rachel McAdams is a pitch perfect Raimi protagonist. They've gotta make more movies together.
Between No Other Choice and 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple, my film 2026 is already off to a great start!
Between Event Horizon: Dark Descent, Twilight Zone and Starship Godzilla, I've been really vibing with IDW's comics lineup lately!
This is one of the strangest double features I've attempted in a long time.
Finally getting around to watching some classics. Yesterday was Oldboy. Tonight, Lady Vengeance.
Second watch of the weekend. I absolutely love this film!! It's just about everything I could have wanted from a Predator film.
