Did you use AI?

Yes, a lot. I still consider the code to be my code - but my opinions on the matter are complex. I'm no ambassador for AI accelerationism - as a published AI safety researcher and red-teamer, I'm well aware that LLMs aren't a tool to point at a problem and press 'Go' unthinkingly. I'd label CSS-DOS 'LLM-assisted' but not 'vibe coded'.

NOTE: AI writing I find cringe-inducing and bland. I'm typing this myself. The copy on this website is edited by my fingers word-by-word, with proofreading by Claude.

Takes an hour, so maybe not "quick", but this recipe for magic beer bread is real simple and I make it all the time. Results in bread that has a soft interior, chewy exterior, and that hoppy taste of beer

Recipe for Magic Bear Bread.

340 milliliter lukewarm beer, 3 cups flour, 3 tablespoons sugar, 1 tablespoon baking powder, a pinch of salt.

Place mixed ingredients in a greased bread tray, place in cold over then set to 350°F and bake for 1 hour.

For anyone worried about "government overreach" the requirements of the bill are VERY basic and SHOULD have already been the law of the land from the BEGINNING 60 dau warning of shutdown and any ONE of three requirements: An offline version A patch to allow user hosted services A refund

So what would this bill do? You can read the full text for yourself but at a high level it would require publishers to communicate to the public 60 days in advance of any changes in service that would prevent the “ordinary use” of a digital game. In addition, the publisher would have to provide one or more of these three paths forward:

1. A version of the digital game that can be used by the purchaser independent of services controlled by the operator.
2. A patch or update to the purchaser’s version of the digital game that enables its continued use independent of services controlled by the operator.
3. A refund in an amount equal to the full purchase price paid for the digital game by the purchaser.

Finally tried Takis for the first time, really like them but kind of disappointed in the "heat". I've got the blue ones and Fuego, both are labeled as "EXTREME" heat but they're just kind of tingly Maybe the version they sell in Canada is just less spicy? 🤷‍♂️

My eReader of choice is this cool bit of tech I got from China. Snowsky Echo Mini. It HAS wifi transfer capabilities but otherwise it's BARE BONES (only supports epub and PREFERS jpeg images) so the battery lasts AGES. Small enough to magnetize to the back of my phone too

I'm all for being realistic in criticizing people and not resorting to hyperbolic accusations, but I genuinely do NOT think he put that much creative intent behind his designs. Man just REALLY thought people the size of a brick house was the height of cool.
