I'm trying something new today. Instead of taking screenshots and building App Store assets, I'm using Figma to make the screens from scratch. This will help me automate the localization process A TON. I especially like the new callout card idea to highlight key details.
QRV has passed 1000 registered devices! This means 1000 operators are out there who have at least tried using notifications on the app. Of those, 953 have notifications still enabled, so it must be worthwhile! Thanks to everyone who has shared feedback; I'm always open to more 😀 #AmateurRadio

Playing around with some visualizations. A small glyph on the Spots View showing where you're grid is being heard the most strongly. Tap it for a larger view that rotates with your device heading. Not sure if this will make it into the app, but it's fun! #QRV #AmateurRadio #HamRadio

Backend fix is in place and works for users on older versions of the app 😎 Still going to incorporate the caching mentioned earlier, since it will result in more accurate reference across several surfaces

Some updates I’ve been working on. You can now pick a custom icon to represent each net. Everything syncs between iOS and Mac, too!
Working on a frequency notepad for QRV. It's an easy lift and I'm happy with everything except the name. "Frequency Memories" feels... bad. I don't know what else to say. #AmateurRadio #HamRadio
This decode happened right at Zenith. Upside: crystal clear. Downside: only a single full decode for this pass.
You'll also see more icons in the Live Spots on iOS. 🌍 DXCC (watched only) ⛵ DXpedition (watched only) 👤 Callsign (watched only) 🍃 POTA ⛰️ SOTA If you don't want some of those icons, you can toggle them in Settings.
For DXpeditions, you can now also get a wider view. The app differentiates between "on-air anywhere" and "spotted in my grid." In the list view, DXpeditions that are on-air but not seen locally will have faded band chips. You can then see frequencies and large-grids quickly to get a better idea.
Working on some small improvements to QRV: - Icons will appear in lives spots for watched callsign, DXCC, and DXP (in addition to POTA) - You can turn those icons on/off in the settings - Mac users can now customize their shortcuts! Anything from ⌘1 to ⌘0 instead of the current 1-4
Today I 3D printed a new mounting solution for my IC-2730A. The vertical arm hijacks existing trim screws for mounting; the radio is held in a sleeve with M4 screws into the radio mounting points. It's a 2023 Chevy Bolt if anyone wants the files. Print in ABS! #amateurradio #hamradio #3dprinting
Woohoo! QRV 1.15 is out on iOS. I swear I can never tell how long the review process will take. As usual, the Mac update is taking way longer; by the time they approve one, I've already prepared the next.
Nice! Where did you make the grid? I’ve been working on my own as well (and you’re right — even a 1° misalignment with the yagi seems to add noise)
Coming soon to #QRV If you have a logbook connected (QRZ or Wavelog), you can have your alerts be “logbook aware.” The app will automatically deselect bands as you get QSOs or QSLs for that entity. All optional, of course! #AmateurRadio #HamRadio #iOSDev
