We heard a weird noise outside. Wife went to investigate and it was an ice cream truck! Got the Spider-Man ice cream and the lady gave me a sticker! Also had an awkward moment where my PJ shorts fell down in front of my neighbours while trying to run to the truck. I’m a walking embarrassment lol

I FOUND THE DINOSAUR MANGA! I have wanting to read this series for the past few years, but I could never find the first volume anywhere. Wandered over to the library for more UK travel guides and came across the first two volumes! Absolutely love this so far! This series was made for me lol
Finally unpacked and sorted out everything from our Toronto trip a few weeks ago. We got quite the Blue Jays haul! Looking forward to using the big fuzzy robe when it gets cold! Loved a lot of the Canada Day merch and couldn't resist the adorable racoon shirt! :P
Seeing Jurassic Park in concert at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra! Having a blast watching one of my favourite movies on a big screen again and hearing the orchestra play the score so beautifully. Been an amazing experience launching and cheering with the crowd too!
My return to work has been surprisingly way less stressful than expected even with a bunch of chaos and so much breaking tech issues. Had a customer surprise me at work today by gifting me this cute little Yarn Yoshi as a fun welcome back present! :D It’s even the one that works as an amiibo!
Went to the Nikkei Garden Market to participate in Tanabata. Still feel really exhausted from everything, but I got to have some snacks and write down my wish. I even found a neat Bulbasaur someone made! You can actually read my wish in the photo if you can figure out which one is mine.
Back home from the double-header, just in time to watch Blue Jays baseball! Apparently watching 14 innings today wasn't enough for us. We need even more baseball! :P Second game of the double-header wasn't so good, but at least I got to see Bob Brown Bear again! He is such a good bear!
Max had a decent outing for a rehab start. Went three innings and around 50 pitches. Hope he rejoins the Jays soon but likely needs another rehab start. We were very confused when they announced we won in the 7th inning. Turns out today is a double-header day. I enjoyed watching this sushi race!
Made it to the stadium and in our seats just in time for watching the first pitch thrown by Max Scherzer! Blue Jays players never have rehab starts here in Vancouver, so this rare opportunity to see a future hall of famer was a must-see experience. Hope Mad Max has a great game! :)
We made it back home safe to Vancouver despite being tired as hell. Along with all of the Toronto stuff, I now find myself as the caretaker of Cliff the Icelandic puffin! My aunt went to Iceland a while ago and sent this little guy on a long journey to me. He is a well-traveled puffin. I love him!
It’s super hot out, so we made one last drink haul at the JP Food Mart so we can stay hydrated enough for our last night here. Found earl grey milk tea with a matching frozen tea dessert! This was such a tasty combo! ^^ Now I need to find a place that sells both of these at home!
BLUE JAYS WIN ON CANADA DAY!!! 🇨🇦 We managed to dodge the bad weather and was pleasantly cool out for our walk back to the hotel room. Took a photo of the last strike out and enjoyed watching Sean Keys get interviewed by Hazel and then dunked by Vladdy and Valenzuela! Great way to end our trip!
We found the poutine in a baseball bowl! :D Had to get some for both @yllekc.bsky.social and @yunnie.co :) Got to share it with my wife while we watch Straw hit a home run! They are in process of closing the dome now since the sky suddenly got very dark. Thunderstorms are coming soon.
SEAN KEYS HOME RUN!!!! We got to watch his MLB debut on Saturday, and now we get to see his first MLB home run! Feels like a special moment :)
O CANADA WE STAND ON GUARD FOR THEE 🇨🇦 Watched an amazing ceremony and now onto the big game itself! GO BLUE JAYS!!!
We are here for the Canada Day game! We brought our Vancouver Canadians jerseys since they seemed fitting for the game, especially since they are the minor team and Scherzer is playing for them on Friday. It’s a hot one, be we’re excited to see a special game. Hope the Jays can get a win!
Rough loss since the Jays just could not get offence going and failed to cash in any runs. :( That final out was really tough since we saw Okamoto warming up in the on-deck circle. They were about to put him in as a pinch hitter! Shame he didn’t get into the game, but there is always tomorrow!
They just put a message for Okamoto’s birthday on the big screen at the Blue Jays game! :D Game has been an intense pitching duel so far. Really hope the Jays can give Gausman some run support… Wife and I are currently getting more loonie dogs and finding all the souvenir food containers lol
He may not be playing in tonight’s line up, but I am sitting in a place where I can see Okamoto in the dugout! :D He has been spending his day with Straw! Looks like they have been talking a lot all game since I can see one very animated interpreter hard at work! :)
At Game #3 of our trip! Surprised Okamoto isn’t in the line up for tonight, but I will still celebrate him anyway! It’s Loonie Dog Night, and we were pleasantly surprised they do have veggie versions that I can have! I wasn’t expecting to be able to participate in it, so I had to get one!
Happy Birthday to my favourite sports player, Kazuma Okamoto! I’m busting out one of my birthday presents I just got in order to help celebrate yours. We traveled to come see you play today and will be cheering you on!
BLUE JAYS WIN!!!! Got it witness my first #BlueJay win in person since previously we have only need losses. Got a photo of Varland striking out the last Mets batter and also got to see him get dunked! Pitchers almost never get dunked. Happy to see Ace wave the glad and see the retro mascots!
At Game 2 of our Toronto Blue Jays vacation! Tonight is the start of the Mets series and the return of Bo Bichette to the Skydome. Having a lot of feeling about seeing Bo here again and HOLY SHIT IN THE PARK HOME RUN BY SPRINGER?!?! Lot of feels and excitement going on in this game already!
Had a lot of fun meeting the animals in the Toronto Zoo! Sadly we got there pretty late in the day, so I didn’t get to meet every animal, but we saw a lot of friends! Highlight was easily baby giraffe Imara, who is only 4 months old! She was eating and running around right in front of us! :D
We also did some wandering around and found a random claw arcade that had some strange “Pokemon”. This poor bootleg looks like he needs some help LOL! It’s almost as if he knows that he is an abomination and is in deep distress over the pain. XD
Day 1 of our Toronto trip is done! Managed to have a good day despite the extreme sleep deprivation by enjoying the Blue Jays! Got to wander around the stadium a little! Loved seeing last year’s home run jacket up close and Ace’s parrot! Managed to get TWO different Okamoto jerseys too! :O
I am here. I made it to the Skydome! I’ll get to watch the Jays in-person again!
Got to our hotel in Toronto, which is apparently right next to a gigantic Pride festival. There is a stage right outside the window. There is a trans Pride crosswalk right outside where we are staying. Ears are currently hurting a lot from the noise. We just learned it will be going on until 2 AM…
Today ended up being an okay day! Work wasn’t bonkers and a customer even surprised me with an adorable Bulbasaur that they made for me! His head can bobble and function as a clicker! :D Wife got me a Rocky Point ice cream cake for the birthday! It is quite hot, so it’s a great way to stay cool!
