the plugin I used to achieve this effect is called Composite Blur. I used the pixelate setting and set it to rhomboids with a very small size and a slight smoothing to simulate a shadow mask and CRT ray blur (hexagonal works similarly too, tho looks nearly identical at that small scale) #obs #retro

I found a LUT that converts 601 colours to 709 colours dw I have no idea what it means, too. all I understand is 601 is used for SD content and 709 for HD video starts with 601 pre-LUT and it flickers the LUT on and off changes I see: green gets slightly brighter and reds darker/less orange

was a tad of a fuss to get it working mostly due to how the steamdeck handles the n64 controller by default. i had to remap a few buttons on both steam and dusk. it now functions near identical to how OOT plays x3 (also sorry for the giant window glare, taking screenshots crashes the steamdeck...)
