#WIPSnip Show a snippet of your MC being open or vulnerable to another person. Re: "Collectors" I felt I had to put this one out into the world, even though it's a mild spoiler. CW: If pregnancy loss, or loss of a child could be an issue for you, I would recommend skipping this one 💔
I owe a deep apology for every time I rolled my eyes over a fantasy book with a heavy-handed environmental metaphor reflecting the corrupt, evil leadership of the country 😕😒 #WriteSky
I have no idea what 'sex pollen' is 👀, but it seemed better than the other options 😄 nulienna.tumblr.com/sorter
I’m doing #FictionFest this year! It’s like a great big online book fair celebrating #Canadian fiction #books and authors: FictionFest.ca I will be part of a panel discussion: Out of the Ashes: Finding Hope Through Dystopia events.humanitix.com/out-of-the-a... 📚 #CanLit #CanCon
In honour of Pride month, I'm going to hold a presentation about my personal journey writing Queer characters - With a focus on identities that can be difficult to represent on-page, like: Bisexual, Asexual/grey-ace, Nonbinary www.cochranepubliclibrary.ca/events/from-...
Quote with four of your book covers! 💫 (or as many as you have so far) [ #booksky ] 📚⬇️
Jumpin' Jack Flash Not the most original plot, but Whoopi takes this basic film and makes it a joy to watch. (Plus, a clearly autistic MC in a romcom will always get my vote 😁)
Adventures in Babysitting (1987) Near perfection! Note: The stunning lack of attention these rich white suburbia kids show to the societal problems they are swimming in (including WHY did Brenda try to run away??) is, IMHO part of its subversive charm as a microcosm of 80s entertainment.
Here's one I don't share as often, but deserves some love #Mistwarden book 2 - Each cover is focused on one of the three MCs, and this one is for Drew! #BookSky (And yes the hex codes in the background are real data 😁)
These last three points in the Palantir manifesto are just christian nationalist white supremacy 😕

A list I would not have expected to be on? ( Only reason I could think is that I sometimes re-post fairly tame content from queer romance authors, or political organizing posts from sex workers? )
A couple of lists I'm proud to be on 😁 - Anti-AI - Wrong about AI/Bitcoin/VR probably other things
...And I'm a geek, so I already have the store icon on my website 😁 adriaanbrae.braevitae.com

Skills: unfollow/mute/block Expecting social content spoon-fed to you by an algo is a big part of the problems we're in 😒
From the relative heights of the plots, I'm guessing a Princess and a masked pirate?
The worst thing about having a book signing in a bookshop is being surrounded by books but I can't go browse! "Learning Curves" caught my eye across the room, because how awesome is that title?
The only bad part in this book is that Jocelyn (MC) keeps eating fresh-made sesame balls! -- they are MY favourite too and now I've been craving them! 😒🤣
Fortune's Shadow: Having all your wishes come true can be a dangerous thing! This one's been on my TBR since Can*Con. I'm so glad I made the time to read it! I love all the characters in this little town, and the ending is *chef's kiss* (though I cried) books2read.com/FortunesShadow #BookSky
Some rando bigot sent me this, but I see it as a positive statement. All us weird bitches SHOULD seek therapy so we can be mentally healthy as our best weird selves! (And it should be free under universal health care!)
I read LotR 13 times by the time I was 13, but I haven't read it for at least 30 years. Recently my partner challenged me to re-read it…so, who's up for the live-post LotR re-read? My book (from 1986): #BookSky
