We now have the #afcb ST & matchday ticket prices. Charts show lowest cost adult tickets (exc Family Stand). > 3% increase STs / 2.4% matchday increase > 15% "discount" for STs (£694 vs £820) > Both significantly outstrip CPI since 2013 (More on Price of Football basket soon)
2) It is a very young #afcbw squad, youngest over past 10 years - average age around 22yrs 👀. On paper (with a couple of notable exceptions) it looks like an overall quality uplift. Key questions will be can we replace SQ's goals & JH's solidity at the back?
Lots of activity at AFCB Women over the summer so far: > 10 out > 10 in > 2 loanees from last season signed > Backroom team strengthened Leaves the #afcbw squad numbers more or less unchanged 1/3...

10) What will 2026/27 look like for #AFCB? > BKFC branching out into other sports > Tiago & Lionel at the helm > PL FFP compliance is OK / UEFA compliance TIGHT > Training ground extra pitches? > 12.3k seat stadium > Most importantly how will Hr Rosuh do?
9) HUGE assumptions here as not all data in #AFCB accounts. a) PL PSR* clearance was COMFORTABLE, player sales to the rescue. b) Had we been playing UEFA competitions: > FED* (UEFA’s PSR) cleared relatively COMFORTABLY, player sales again. > SCR* might’ve been tricky!
8) Tricky to judge the full #AFCB Debt/Cash position (SEVERAL salt mines required): a) Owner Debt converted to equity b) Football Net Debt ⬆️ to £60m > Financial Net Debt ⬆️ to £49m > Transfer fees Net Debt ⬇️ to £11m c) £17m Cash in the Bank (depends on debt repayments etc) d) Club value ⬆️
7) #AFCBb player trading ⬆️ to a RECORD £115m profit: a) Player sales £152m b) Player acquisitions £159m c) Net transfer SPEND £7m d) Squad gross cost ⬆️ to £465m - the most expensive EVER
6) #AFCB costs (exc Tax) ⬆️ 5% a) Operating costs ⬆️ to £198m > Salaries ⬆️ to £166m – higher bonuses > Other costs ↔️ at £31m b) Amortisation & Depreciation ⬆️ to £76m c) No exceptionals d) Net interest paid ⬇️ to £12m
5) #AFCB matchday price rises & hospitality drive record stadium productivity: > Capacity unchanged > Hospitality = 41% of matchday revenue > Price of Football* ⬆️ 5.7% to £57.66 > Stadium productivity** ⬇️ 3% to £979 per seat …
4) #AFCB home attendances ⬇️ 14%. a) 1st Team ⬇️ 10%: > League tickets issued ↔️ > League attendance ↔️ > Cup attendance ⬇️ (just 1 home game) a) Other games ⬇️ 42%: > Fewer friendlies & youth games etc
3) #AFCB income (exc Int & Tax) ⬆️ 11% - 1st time > £200m a) Operating turnover ⬆️ to £204m > Ticketing ⬇️ to £6.2m (no Cup runs) > League ⬆️ to £170m (high finish & more TV games) > Commercial income ⬆️ to £27m b) “Other operating income” (loan fees etc) ↔️ at £17m c) No exceptionals
2) As I’m not “in the know” I’ve made some #AFCB assumptions: > TV income at £170m > Commercial income increased with new partnerships & hospitality > Staff costs up (higher bonuses) > Amortisation up slightly (player purchases) > £115m profit on player sales 👀
#AFCB 2025/26 Financial Year has closed. Forecasting is problematic & imprecise. Without details its bloody difficult. But here’s a thread on my SALTMINE level guesstimate for the outturn – £50m PROFIT BEFORE TAX, again on the back of HIGH player trading! 1/10…
In a much needed injection of excitement to last night’s WC proceedings, Bournemouth Stadium LLP final accounts drop! The stadium was sold for £9.99m (to Black Knight Stadium Ltd) with £7.1m being distributed to LLP members. Dean Court returns to the fold if not directly to #afcb.
The PL stadium release shows #afcb with 12,357 seats at Dean Court for the start of 2026/27 season. About 160 more than I first worked out (could explain the greyed out seats at SW end of S Stand that appeared in the ST displacement period).
So the summer transfer window is open & the really painful period of #afcb rumours starts. Will Pinto & Ritchie end up down in the dumps or will they join Lionel…
8) So its an "A" for #AFCB from me: SIXTH PLACE & OPTA has us 11th best on the Planet👀 #Iraolaball stole my heart it is everything that makes the game so addictive - speed, physicality, effort, skill, risk taking & SMILES. Thank you Boss, over to you Boss! #utFciad
6) Could it have been more? 1-goal game analysis suggests that #AFCB could have gained 1 extra point. And if PGMOL had got it right, that’s 4 points on top. That would’ve taken us to 62 points & 5th by 1 point! But who knows in reality? …
5) The #AFCB squad had quality & numbers in most areas: Subs had less impact than 2024/25 - just 9 goals for 8 points. But squad availability was literally HISTORIC. This enabled more rotation of the squad by choice than forced through injury.
