Members from @uupinfo.bsky.social shared a massive contract win on AI protections! Their newly negotiated language guaranteed that SUNY faculty and staff cannot be replaced by AI. With the future of AI and its many uncertainties in higher education, this win is especially significant!
The Faculty Alliance of Miami shared their win of securing a 9% salary increase over 3 years and a minimum salary into their contract! They are doing great work in ensuring the faculty and librarians at Miami University have fair working conditions and compensation!
AAUP’s @local6741.bsky.social has nearly doubled in size, and they continue to expand their reach across various colleges and universities.
While at Convention, Todd Wolfson and Bethany Letiecq from @aaup.org shared their tremendous membership over the past two years!
United Academics of Maryland joined us at @aft.org convention to discuss their historic win! Together, they won rights to collective bargaining for nontenured faculty, and with their momentum, they are continuing to expand across all University of Maryland campuses!
We had a chance to hear from Marsha McCartney from United Academics of the University of Kansas at @aft.org’s Convention! She shared the union’s wins, including academic freedom, due process, and job security for all faculty. We are excited to see the amazing work they will continue to do!
