Big news: The coalition of Attorneys General fighting the dangerous Paramount / WB merger has won a temporary restraining order, meaning that the merger is blocked for the duration of our litigation. But we aren't stopping there. We're going to keep pushing to block this costly merger permanently.
Today, I filed a lawsuit to halt the sale of Loon vapes in Minnesota. State law bans e-cigarettes designed to appeal to kids. With flavors like Cotton Candy and Mountain Dude, Loon is in clear violation of that law. I will not let corporations like Loon prey on our children.

The deck is stacked against young people online. Unfortunately, the KIDS Act protects Big Tech instead of our children. I will keep working with my fellow AGs to stand up to social media companies that are trying to turn a profit by harming our children.
George Floyd, his family, and the people of Minnesota changed history. Together, we showed no one is above the law — and no one is beneath it.
This Memorial Day, we remember all of the brave Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice. Today, we are holding them and their families in our prayers and gratitude.
Last week, I held a forum to discuss the future of HCMC, a flagship health care institution for MN. Hear from a community member sharing about the importance of HCMC, who provided life-saving care for his sister in law when she suffered a traumatic brain injury.
Exciting news! Our bill, the MAP Act, passed in both the House and Senate and is headed to the Governor's desk to be signed into law. This will give my office more resources to fight fraud and protect vulnerable Minnesotans.
Aimee Bock has received the sentence she deserves. I thank federal prosecutors for their years of hard work to hold fraudster-in-chief Bock and the other fraudsters accountable and congratulate them on this outcome. Justice has been done.
Last week, I held a forum to discuss the future of HCMC, a flagship health care institution for MN. Hear from a community member sharing about the importance of HCMC providing care for Minnesotans who might not otherwise find the trusted care they need.
Minnesota Valley threatened to shut off the power for a Minnesotan who requires life-sustaining medical equipment. This was as cruel as it was unlawful. We went to court after hours, and we won. I will not allow any business to put their profit before Minnesotans’ survival.
Nobody is above the law, including ICE agents. The State of Minnesota must hold people accountable for violating the law and for harming Minnesotans. I support the filing of these charges, and I am working closely with @hennepinatty.bsky.social Moriarty to ensure we reach a just outcome here.
On Wednesday, I held a forum to discuss the future of HCMC, a flagship health care institution for MN. Hear from a family physician in Greater MN about the critical role HCMC plays in providing both care across the state and training the next generation of doctors.
I am pleased that yesterday’s budget agreement includes the funding Minnesota needs to expand my nation-leading Medicaid fraud-fighting team.
Premium Home Services has been running an elaborate scheme to deceive, defraud, and ultimately harm Minnesotans. That cannot stand, and my team and I are going to hold this company and its owner accountable for the harm they have caused.
Once again, Trump tried to impose more illegal tariffs that drive up costs for farmers, small businesses, and folks across Minnesota. I sued him, and once again, the court struck his tariffs down. Trump should try following the law, instead of finding new ways to break it.
I'm convening community members and stakeholders for a forum on the future of Hennepin County Medical Center, a flagship health care institution that Minnesotans across the state rely on in numerous ways. Join us Wednesday, May 13 in Minneapolis. RSVP: bit.ly/HCMC-Forum
Exciting news! Our bill, the MAP Act, just passed the Minnesota Senate and is one step closer to becoming a law. This will give my office more resources to fight fraud and protect vulnerable Minnesotans.
When Xcel accidentally drilled through their own cables at a nuclear power plant, they wanted Minnesotans to foot the bill. My office stepped in to protect consumers who were in no way at fault, and I’m gratified Xcel customers will see the relief they deserve.
AG Ellison’s Office filed a lawsuit against Les Jolies School of Dance, Real Believers Faith Center, their founders Sharon and Larry Cook, and other officers of both charities for egregious violations of MN nonprofit law, including misusing over $2 million in charitable assets.
The passage of the MAP Act in the Senate today puts us one massive step closer to getting my investigators and prosecutors the tools and resources they need to even more aggressively prosecute fraudsters.
Abortion is healthcare, period. I cannot let a highly politicized court from another part of the country impose restrictions on abortion care that are not supported by law or science on Minnesotans. I welcome the temporary stay the court issued and strongly urge it be extended.
Purdue and the Sackler family knew at all times how dangerous their product was, but kept fraudulently and deceptively marketing it to sell more and more opioids, addict more and more people, and make more and more money. They knew what they were doing, and they did it anyway.
We worked with DLI for 3.5 years in its legal action years in its legal action to recover these wages, keeping bad employers from stealing wages from their workers. Minnesotans deserve to take home every dollar they earn and we will always fight for them.
