Today's run was kinda meh. Combination of RNG, support picks, and potentially suboptimal decisionmaking affected by mood. Alas!
QTP with your favorite Poison-type Pokémon! (Honorable mention to Brujavioleta, my Shiny Iron Moth.)
Oho! Maybe I'm clawing my way out of the 5-6 cycle! (Like yeah this was a really lucky high roll, but is the first time I might reasonably stay in retention range for once.)
For today's Machitan run I dipped back into the reworked URA scenario, and found out that I am very much calibrated for Unity Cup and Grand Live. On the plus side, I got the URA spark, so that takes care of one of the 1.5 Anniversary objectives.
And the run of the day! I definitely got unlucky with concert effects; on top of that I also think I messed up the reset timings in the first cycle so I didn't get the special concert. Gonna try again (but definitely sticking to just one Machitan run when I start recording/streaming it).
And then I cleated the extra Tachyon, got the guaranteed SR Scout Ticket and... SSR AIR SHAKUR?! What is *happening*?!
The free 10 pull today was crazy lucky. (Too bad I've already Max LB'd Tachyon. My steak too juicy, lobster too buttery, etc.)
Watched a vid that made me realize you want to prioritize getting one or two supports to rainbow (unlike other campaigns where you want to spread it out) and cracked UG on Grand Live. (And this wasn't even a good run, I got two early failed trainings and horrible token RNG.)
Winning the Leo Cup (Graded, Group B) is the best way to find out Miss Victoria has been added to Global:
This week's Machitan run was technically more balanced than last week's, but yielded fewer sparks, alas. (Left, this week's, right, last week's.) I'm kinda out of it today, so I feel like there are changes to be made to either the support distribution or trainings I picked...
Wait, I just realized I have this gag from my Legends ZA playthrough. It doesn't change my answer, but is still relevant:
Got my first penta-win (albeit in Group B), and it's definitely thanks to the newer, beastlier King Halo and Air Groove:
This is one of the most on-brand/on the nose posts to get a shiny marker and I love it.
Been quite a bit since I posted about this build, but I've made a bunch of progress over the last week (mostly because I'm procrastinating on working on the storage system beneath it, and terrain 🫠):
For reference/comparison, here's the Lodestone render (because I haven't made the EC entries, let alone taken screenshots for the group yet):
QTP with your favorite Electric-type pokemon! I'm a sucker for Shiny Sandy Shocks and Shiny Alolan Golem, but special mention specifically to my Shiny Dawn Mark Hisuian Electrode, Tostadoscuro (Dark Roast, picture not up to date).
I was on Windows to do some Xbox Pro controller configuration, and figured I'd finally bash this out!
After the weekly FFXIV group I host on Mondays, some of the members and I have taken to playing Slay the Spire 2 afterward. This run was absolutely cracked thanks to Swift Big Bang+, 2x Swift Sword Sage+, Mad Science(Power Energy-1)+, and the Defect player pumping the us with Energy. BEEG. SWORD.
I forgot to synch last night's Pokémon Sleep until just now, and there's an event where the environment is moody, so I legitimately thought this Slakoth was just affected by shaders until the Shiny effect popped lol
Found out the other day there'll be an event later this year to raise sparks on legacies, so I've gone through all the 2★ legacies I have with a bunch of white sparks and marked them for upgrade. The ones with cake are actually Really Good for Haru Urara Arima Kinen, and will get first dibs.
I didn't notice until the sparkle, but Shiny Meowth! (Stare at it long enough and you realize the brown bits are actually closer to pink, but not readily apparent at first glance without other Meowth around.)
Can't see her boots (Ishgardian Thighboots, Jet Black) in either of these, but they're probably the best screenshots I have at the moment. (Last gpose set was for the Endwalker version, should probably update: ffxiv.eorzeacollection.com/glamour/1568...)
*Uniform Square Antiprism. I guess it *is* an antiprism, just not Uniform. Anyway, as it stands the prototype is technically tessellated square antiprisms, but I intend to rebuild it to make it uniform, and also add more to the support structure to make it look less flimsy/contribute to narrative.
Today's run, I thought, wasn't that good. (I even accidentally skipped second Arima Kinen. Oops.) And yet, I ended up with an incredibly good "grandparent" for Haru Urara Arima Kinen. (Might not need Gametora for event outcomes anymore, but still great for legacy planning!)
