you can take out the enormous foam shoulder padding from your vintage coat. it's not illegal

It's me! I'm wearing a vintage brown coat with dark velvet contrast collar and enormous 80s power shoulders. It looks cute here tbh but I'm only 5'3" so throws my proportions out too much overall.

Me again, having taken the huge foam lumps out of the shoulders, and happily the loss of structure hasn't ruined the coat. It's still wide but the softer shoulder is more forgiving.

ABC's voting widget doesn't have a submit button and reacts on press, so I couldn't scroll down to Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie. The perfectly descending vote distribution suggests I'm not the only person this happened to!

What's your favourite movie of 2026 so far? The films are listed alphabetically and the votes all neatly follow in descending order, with 24% for 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple.

Received a response from Now or Never that conceded their wording was ambiguous (it now says "Image made with AI, on purpose") but also defended its use. How nice for the arts festival that they feel "comfortable"!

As an arts and technology festival, Now or Never is comfortable with using AI renders for promotional imagery - it's an evolution of artist impressions and digital renders, and a legitimate creative tool.

It's niche and dumb photoshop time again

A photoshopped Re-Animator poster to add Matt and Jay from Nirvanna the Band the Show the Movie (or NTBTSTM). It's titled Nirvanimator. The photoshop work isn't perfect but my god finding shots in NTBTS of these two guys at the correct angles and expressions was enough of a win on its own.

The inner lever had a dent in it, so the button wasn't reaching it properly. I stuck a tiny piece of plastic/foil from a pill packet on top. good to go.

Got a watch for $5 because the mode button wasn't responding. Blokes at Mr Minit were very polite in telling me they didn't know what was wrong and couldn't fix it. Took it home and did it myself in about an hour.
