Agnostic, believe in the scientific method, good art/music/writing, political compromise, and keeping an open mind. Semi-retired, broke & happily married, so scantily clad & business accounts need not bother following.
Currently enjoying Louise Penny’s Inspector Gamache books. Such good characters and funny, clever dialogue! Penny’s description of life in Three Pines seems to be a great salve for our current insane world situation. Much better than the Amazon tv series IMO! #louisepenny
Just hanging at the beach sipping an ice cold drink - wish you could be here, but you're probably not rich enough. Sad! Anyway, might want to make it a screensaver on your Roku TV.
Bravo! Thanks to This President, America has Officially begun killing innocent people just like terrorist states! MAGA!!!
Been enjoying the books in the #Murderbot series by Martha Wells. No serious meanings, just good action, witty dialogue, and interesting SciFi scenarios. Tried watching the Apple series, but it’s just Meh. Listen to the audiobooks with voice actor Kevin Free - they’re a hoot!
Just saw Jane Alexander in a recent episode of #Severence. 86 and still that searing intelligence comes through in her eyes - the thing that left me entranced in the 70s watching Kramer vs. Kramer. Great to see her work again after so much time.
So, empathy is suicidal, per the world's richest man. He's actually pinned this to his feed, so it's a core belief. How does anyone "follow" or support this man's platform at this point?
One of the most haunting things I recall about Animal Farm is how the pigs sucked the farmyard into following them with "noble" words and goals before changing their interpretations of words, or carving out exceptions for themselves. Something I can see happening with conservatives today. #Orwell
Don’t know the overarching theme Carl Reiner & Co. was trying to stress here, but DO remember the super heated arguments as well as the abiding love and tolerance of each other. Americans need to remember, we are still ALL in the Family
Photos from my CAMP in Fallout 76. Nothing fancy, but I was proud of it, and fond of the view...
Ever have to deal with people ‘so full of steaming s**t it is excruciating not to say so?’ In my job, it happens often. I figure it’s all part of the human pageant. It helps to retreat into hilarious books like Fever Beach by Carl #Hiaasen, where such malignant idiots always get their due.
Look... Up ahead in the distance - You're traveling through another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind!
I don't know about you guys, but I have yet to see a penny of my $200 from Soros for attending my last protest. If I don't see it quick, I'm back to getting my money from Musk! #getrealpaid #handsoff
Thinking about that peculiar state of #childhood - our imagination, the things we valued, our hopes and dreams. I was big into these old fossils, which I thought had great value, esp. if they were in good shape. We get SO invested in fantasy sometimes. #treasure
Life is short. Can y'all please lay off the political hysteria for a minute?
Local business billed as the It's All Good cafe. Never ate there, but I kinda like the name. Looks like it's gone Out of Business. #itsallgood #outofbusiness
My feed is just EAT UP with politics, even tho I try to moderate such incessant, disturbing content. So here's a pic of my dog and some seriously sexy toes.
I grew up looking at this picture in my family's living room. It corresponds to the man's teaching re: how we should treat the poor, the immigrant, the marginalized. I left #Christianity in large part because Christians were happy to piss on what was to me his central teaching. We CAN do better.
This language would fit well with that of George Orwell's Animal Farm, i.e. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others... #georgeorwell #animalfarm
